This is an exciting opportunity to join the UK Engineering Community at our Mars Wrigley factory in Plymouth as a Project Engineer. Reporting to the Site Technical Manager, the Project Engineer will support our CAB investment plan for the coming years, allowing them to develop technical and leadership skills along the way.
What are we looking for?
- Engineering bachelor’s degree or equivalent
- Experience in Manufacturing/Logistics environment (preferred)
- Project Management experience
- Strong communication skills
- Expertise in packaging, process, or controls
What would be your key responsibilities?
- Delivering projects from technical scoping, through design to project closure
- Depending on complexity and CAB, managing project budgets and responsibility for relevant legal obligations (including Safety, Quality & Food Safety, Environment) during installation and execution of the project
- Manage multiple responsibilities including project execution, functional support, self-development, and concentrating on growing the role
- Engage project team members, encourage them to proactively perform assigned tasks
- Actively interface with functional groups on the project team
- Acting as a functional expert to provide engineering expertise to other departments
- Keeping up to date with industry trends and issues – particularly in the areas of digitalisation of manufacturing processes and the development of technology
