Due to extra demand, we have several exciting opportunities for individuals with factory or machine operator experience to join the Mars Petcare team at the Melton Mowbray, Leicestershire site.

The factory is in close proximity to Derby, Nottingham, Oakham, Grantham and Leicester. Parking available on site and within walking distance to the train station.
The Process Operator will work a shift pattern of 4 on 4 off, two day shifts, two night shifts, including weekends.
The role of a Process Operator is to operate, control and monitor machinery within specified areas of the factory; to optimise efficiency, product quality and safety and maintain a professional, clean manufacturing environment. Without, the hard work of our production team our product would never be able to reach the market, so the production operator role is crucial to the business.
What are we looking for?
Relevant operator experience in a fast-paced factory environment.
Experience with at least some of the tasks listed below, such as CCP (‘critical control point’) checks, conducting quality panels, running risk assessments, etc.
Motivated and able to learn those elements you haven't done yet or those you have less experience in.
Good team player with flexible approach, and communication skills.
What would be your key responsibilities?
Carrying out CCP checks, along with regular quality checks to ensure we are producing first class products.
Ensuring efficient running of equipment from your area to maintain a constant flow of product to the next area.
Ensure comprehensive records and logs are maintained and effective shift handovers are carried out.
Identify and propose ideas and solutions that will increase efficiency in production, cost or time.
Contribute, support and improve team performance by working collaboratively, sharing knowledge and best practices.
