Pet Nutrition R&D Innovation Process Owner

Role can be UK or USA based

UK salary range: £55,000 - £65,000 + 12% bonus

USA salary range: $105,000 - $125,000 + 12% bonus

The Pet Nutrition R&D Innovation Process Owner works globally across multiple business dimensions to ensure that our R&D Innovation processes and systems are designed according to Pet Nutrition R&D needs and function together to enable effective value delivery for Pets and Pet Parents. The jobholder partners with others to design, implement and optimise innovation processes consistently across Pet Nutrition R&D and to shape the development of R&D innovation systems in line with business needs. The remit of the role covers all R&D innovation processes and systems across the Pet Nutrition division of Mars.

What are we looking for?

  • Minimum bachelor degree in science, engineering or related discipline

  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in R&D gained across multiple roles

  • Global business perspective

  • Successful track record of leading process / systems development projects across multiple business dimensions

    Excellent communication skills, fluent in English

What will be your key responsibilities?

  • Drives consistent application of R&D innovation processes in partnership with regional and global teams, understanding and formalising where divergence is needed and why.

  • Evaluates process effectiveness, identifies and drives priorities for adaptation and improvement, keeping pace with changing business needs.

  • Leads the Pet Nutrition R&D contribution to global innovation process development activities and supports the implementation of new R&D innovation processes within the Pet Nutrition division of Mars.

  • Maintains and promotes innovation process & system knowledge within Pet Nutrition R&D.
