Position Overview

The Global P&O Manager, BP & Effectiveness role is a hands-on, highly collaborative role designed to drive the execution of Mars Snacking’s Human-Led, Digitally Powered Enterprise (HLDPE) strategy. This role serves as the central engine for tracking key strategic metrics, orchestrating the portfolio of strategic initiatives, and coordinating across Snacking P&O teams to deliver on enterprise goals.

Working in close partnership with the People Data & Analytics (PD&A) and Talent & Culture teams, this role will manage, review, and continuously improve the unified Business Scorecard, ensuring measurement consistency across the entire Snacking segment. Additionally, as our business continues to integrate, this role acts as a key project lead in operational harmonization programs (such as Global Rewards and Policy standardization), driving the efficiencies and standardizations required to achieve a seamless "One P&O" operating model.

Key Responsibilities & Accountabilities

1. HLDPE Strategic Metrics Tracking

  • Implement & Track KPIs: Support the frame and execution of key strategic metrics that measure the progress, adoption, and business impact of the HLDPE strategy.
  • Monitor Adoption Progress: Analyze data trends related to digital change adoption, associate engagement, capabilities and cultural evolution ("The Snacking Way").
  • Deliver Strategic Insights: Prepare high-impact performance updates and data visualizations to help P&O leadership translate metrics into clear strategic decisions and combines input for integration planning.

2. Portfolio Management of strategic initiatives

  • Lead Portfolio Tracking: Run the day-to-day PMO for global P&O strategic initiatives, ensuring milestones, dependencies, and risks are meticulously tracked.
  • Coordinate Agile Teams: Facilitate and organize the daily activities of cross-functional enterprise project teams to keep initiative deliverables aligned and on track.
  • Proactive Risk Management: Monitor project health and proactively identify and flag resource constraints or timeline risks to leadership.

3. Business Scorecard Maintenance & Alignment

  • Manage Scorecard Updates: Partner directly with PD&A and Talent & Culture teams to coordinate the regular review, updates, and delivery of the unified Business Scorecard.
  • Ensure Global Consistency: Standardize definitions and reporting frameworks across segments and regions to guarantee data alignment.
  • Identify Scorecard Improvements: Actively gather feedback from scorecard users to implement continuous updates and functional improvements.

4. "One P&O" Harmonization & Standardization

  • Support Process Standardization: Coordinate collaborative projects with specialized COEs (such as Global Rewards and Policy teams) to standardize global processes and policies.
  • Document & Map Workflows: Map current segment-specific processes, identify operational redundancies, and assist in designing standard "One P&O" workflows.
  • Foster One P&O Ways of Working: Act as a champion for standardizing processes, helping regional teams transition smoothly to global P&O operating standards.

5. Co-leads org effective projects

  • Co-partner on strategic tools to enhance greater org effectiveness including strategic resources planning, PD&A tools and dashboards
  • Be part of design working groups to drive segment input
  • Unlock org effectiveness through digital tools and capabilities

Qualifications & Key Capabilities

  • 2–5 years of relevant experience in project coordination, business operations, chief of staff/PMO support, strategy, P&O, or consulting. Transferable skills from related operational or analytical fields are warmly welcomed.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Communications, Human Resources, or related field; or equivalent practical experience.

Nice-to-Haves (Preferred, Not Required)

  • Prior exposure to consumer goods (CPG/FMCG) or large, global matrixed environments.
  • Exposure to culture initiatives, organizational design, or business integration projects.
  • Exposure to basic Agile or waterfall project management methodologies.

The base pay range for this position at commencement of employment is between the range listed below, however, base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including but not limited to job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position will include variable pay, medical and dental benefits, participation in 401k plan, and paid time off benefits. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an applicant receives an offer of employment.

The pay range shown is applicable to all US locations listed within the job posting:USD 101,120.00 - USD 139,040.00
