An exciting opportunity to join the Mars site in Milton Keynes (Horsecare) as a Maintenance Technician has become available.

Shift Patterns

Winter:

Monday Tuesday 6am-6pm days

Wednesday Thursday off

Friday Saturday Sunday 6am-6pm days

Monday Tuesday off

Wednesday Thursday 6am-6pm days

Friday Saturday Sunday off

And then changes to 6pm-6am- nights

Summer: (end off may until start off September)

What are we looking for?

  • Mechanical OR electrical or controls & Problem Solving, preferably in a manufacturing environment.

  • Demonstrable experience of building high-performing teams, and coaching other peers on technically related subjects

  • Strong communication skills, with a demonstrated ability to relate to all people at all levels, from a variety of backgrounds and to confront difficult and challenging situations as required

What will be your key responsibilities?

  • Provides all technical representation for the Operations lines.

  • Co-ordinates all technical activities within Operations lines.

  • Lead all associated co-ordination of Planned events (shutdowns, PM’s etc)

  • Responsible for prioritising escalation cards for the Operation Lines and tracking all cards/updates in appropriate systems.

  • Works with the Continuous Improvement engineer / R&D and Industrial Engineering to analyse the unplanned technical losses of the lines, aligning Continuous Improvement activities with the maintenance Shift Manager and/or involving engineers based on priorities.

  • Coaching the Operations team on ways of working to ensure our processes are followed.

  • Participates in the Factory Management Operations meetings having clarity on unplanned losses from the lines.

  • To provide hands on experience (on the tools) up to a maximum of 50%
