The Maintenance Scheduler is an administrative position within the technical team. The associate is responsible for the scheduling of activities both within the team and cross functionally. They will be directly responsible for scheduling of all maintenance activities including: job plans, trainings, and engagements. The associate will work closely with the maintenance manager, our area maintenance leads, the maintenance leads, and the stockroom coordinator to ensure all job plans created by these functional experts are aligned with and scheduled to the technicians. Other activities included but not limited to include producing reports, participating in the coordination of maintenance shutdowns, and data management.

What are we looking for?

  • This role has a high degree of schedule management.

  • The associate will be expected to receive inputs from their functional peers: job plans, parts required, time/length of jobs, labor need, training needs, etc.

  • They will coordinate with the Area Mx Leads and Stockroom Coordinator to prioritize the job plans required for the next week, two weeks, and beyond with the aspiration of establishing a 52 week schedule.

  • They will take the schedule and align cross functionally with the work requestors in their area: Operations, Quality, Safety, and Logistics to ensure proper downtime windows are available for scheduled work.

  • They will then align with the Maintenance Manager, and Maintenance Leads too coordinate the right Maintenance Technicians are scheduled to perform the work on their shifts and/or during downtime windows.

  • The associate will need to demonstrate good skills in dealing with ambiguity and managing schedule changes.

  • The associate will need to work cross functionally amongst groups attending meetings to ensure all inputs are received to properly build a schedule that meets the stakeholder’s goals.

What will be your key responsibilities?

  • High school degree or equivalent; In-house training required. Completion of certification program may be required.

  • Some previous experience in a manufacturing environment.

  • Lifting 25 lbs.

  • Possess above average computer skills, knowledge of simple programs such as Microsoft Excel, Powerpoint, and Word.

  • Applies some advanced skills to the position or specialization.

  • Must have strong computer skills with MS Office and ERP systems (i.e Maximo, SAP, eMaint, 1NAV etc.)

  • Works under minimal supervision. May assist in orienting and training employees.

  • Basic understanding of maintenance scheduling.

  • Will be expected to become a eMaint (CMMS – computerized maintenance management system) superuser and functional expert.

    • Using this tool to schedule maintenance job plans: PMs, work orders, contractors.

    • Using this tool to produce reports: KPI’s, downtime, MTBF, costing reports

    • Using this tool to update period and weekly presentations.

  • This associate is not responsible for the development of job plans, but is responsible for scheduling of those job plans.

  • The associate will manage the department training matrix.

    • This includes tracking of all associates and they’re mandatory regulatory trainings.

    • This includes tracking of all associates and their skills gaps.

    • This includes storing and retention of all certifications.

    • This includes scheduling of technicians to work with associates designated as trainers for specific technical and/or functional skills.

  • The associate will be expected to have strong computer skills. These skills will be used to support the team in:
  • ​Creating presentations, producing KPI reports, training log tracking, CMMS management, flow chart creations
  • The associate’s primary goal as a scheduler and administrator is to enhance and improve the efficiency of all members in the technical team.

Preferred:

  • Experience In scheduling activities

  • Experience creating scheduling processes

  • Experience using SAP Plant Mx, eMaint, or Maximo
