Location : Haguenau (30 min from Strasbourg), Paris or Slough (UK)

This digital leadership role is responsible for creating and ensuring strategic execution of the M&M’S digital plan in the European market. He/She will create the Annual Operating Plan, ensuring its delivery, and will significantly influence the growth of the M&M’s® brand through ecosystem initiatives on mms.com in 13 European markets.

The role is accountable for the P&L of the total M&M’S European digital business and has direct responsibility for performance marketing via various marketing channels. Furthermore, this role has accountability for the overall sales performance of M&M’S Digital in Europe, including D2C, D2B, 1P/3P marketplaces, and the B2B2C mass customization channels. Finally, this role has accountability for the M&M’S Digital supply and Print Shop operations of semi-finished and finished chocolate goods.

What are we looking for?

  • Minimum of a BA/BS in Marketing or Business Administration, MBA preferred

  • Fluent in English and French, German would be a plus

  • 7-10 years of experience in Direct-To-Consumer (DTC) ecommerce. Preferably in vertically integrated, experiential, omni-channel retail

  • 5+ years of hand-on experience with digital marketing channels (Google, Meta, Pinterest, etc.)

  • Knowledge of online universe for personal gifts, party and event enhancement, and corporate promotional products is a plus

  • Understanding of the complex marketing agencies and digital vendor ecosystem

  • Experience building, developing capabilities, engaging and maximizing performance of digital teams

What will be your key responsibilities?

Develop & Deliver Business Strategy :

  • Develop a successful and sustainable strategic business plan for the D2C, D2B, marketplaces (e.g. Amazon), and mass customization markets to achieve the strategic ambition and profitable growth.

  • Determine channel strategies with the appropriate route to market strategy and organization to optimize the business opportunities.

  • Develop, implement, deliver, and measure the results of the individual strategies that drive brand growth, sales, margin, and profit commitments.

  • Develop and deliver the financial commitments made in the Annual Operating Plan.

  • Creates the annual digital marketing calendar and promotional strategy to achieve demand, traffic, conversion rate, and AOV (average order value) KPIs, and ensures alignment with overall brand initiatives and brand guidelines.

Operational Excellence :

  • Oversees the management and efficient allocation of the performance marketing budget, including Paid Search, Paid Social, Affiliate, and Influencer channels, and traditional and programmatic media, to support both DTC and DTB. Responsible for selection and management of performance marketing agencies.

  • Ensures optimal operations standards for Value Stream (Production Line) and Customer Service for the entire EU digital business and ensures a continuous improvement mindset.

  • Directs the development of B2B solutions for major mass customization accounts/clients.


Stakeholder Management :

  • Actively engage with global M&M’s team, the Mars Wrigley EU Digital Center of Acceleration, and the regional European M&M’S brand teams.

  • Build and nurture internal stakeholder networks in the Digital and Marketing communities given the impact of the responsibility of mms.com in Europe.

  • Manage reputation of business unit with internal and external stakeholders.

  • Identify and develop external business partners that will provide incremental demand.
