Location: Veghel (Netherlands), Haguenau (France), Aimargues (France) or Slough (UK). Other sites might be considered based on candidate applications.

The IT Systems Functional Expert is the custodian of the IT systems required to execute and maintain the Mars laboratory programs (NIR (Near-Infrared spectroscopy) program and XRF (X-ray fluorescence) program) through providing functional expertise and support in close collaboration with functional team NIR/XRF, Mars IT and software suppliers. This includes project managing Rapid Spectroscopy IT projects, deploying continuous improvement projects, problem solving and training & knowledge transfer to ensure an effective global Rapid Spectroscopy IT systems program.

What are we looking for?

  • At least 4-5 years of experience in IT project management

  • Experience in leading global or regional standardization projects

  • Proven experience in developing, deploying, or interfacing IT systems

  • Good communication skills in English

  • Experience in IT systems in a Food Science related background would be a plus

  • Experience of interfacing laboratory and/or factory quality systems would be a plus

What would be your responsibilities?

  • Functional Lab IT Expert and system administration for Mars NIR client/server systems, liaising with functional NIR experts, regional NIR support, users and Mars IT for its operational continuity and continuous improvement.

  • Champion the Q&FS data integration strategy and ensure that NIR/XRF systems are embedded in client workflows for seamless decision making.

  • Owner of the systems and data connectivity related part of on-time and flawless reporting the quarterly metric.

  • Define, standardize, and codify the key processes, procedures, and tools to support these services using lean, efficient end-to-end functionally integrated processes.

  • Scope, execute and manage projects that develop the laboratory NIR/XRF systems & tools priorities, automatize current human processes.

  • Be the custodian for effective business change management around NIR/XRF systems in partnership with the relevant business partners to ensure a flawless continuity of data flows through existing interfaces.

  • Maintain a high level of customer focus and ensure that projects are delivered on-plan, on-time, and on-budget.
