The Inside Sales Team Manager is accountable for establishing an effective team environment in order to execute the Veterinary Business Unit strategy and achieve business objectives/KPIs for the Royal Canin Veterinary business. This role leads a team who virtually sells to remote veterinary customers, supports a seamless customer experience in partnership with the field sales team, and is responsible for team performance, sales forecasting, and continuous improvement of the inside sales process.
What are we looking for?
Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Veterinary Science preferred
5+ years experience in B2B Sales
Excellent communication and presentation skills (oral and written)
People leadership experience in leading, motivating, and managing a sales force
Demonstrated success in an inside sales position
Proven experience in sales management, preferably within an inside/virtual sales environment
Strong understanding of sales performance metrics, forecasting, and CRM software (Salesforce)
Comfort analyzing data to identify opportunities, managing multiple tasks, and taking on new challenges with a sense of urgency and energy
Occasional overnight travel may be required (approximately 10%)
What would be your key responsibilities?
Achieve profitable sales growth objectives through leadership of Veterinary Inside Sales Team
Responsible for upholding high standards of direct reports; monitors weekly activities of sales personnel utilizing Salesforce and Vonage to assess customer interactions, and supports the team in identifying and building a sales pipeline through qualifying leads, prospecting, and penetrating new and existing accounts
Sets team sales targets and produces regular sales forecasts and performance reports for leadership
Works in close partnership with Divisional Sales Directors to deliver unified and seamless customer experience in support of field sales execution
Collaborates cross-functionally with Marketing, Strategic Accounts, Veterinary Affairs and other business partners to ensure sales strategy remains well-aligned with broader business objectives
Evaluates current sales practices, tools, and processes to determine effectiveness, and recommends and implements improvements to increase efficiency
Actively develops a talent pipeline through recruitment and effective coaching of team; develops associates to meet both their career goals and the organization's goals
Models the leadership behaviors commensurate with the 5 Principles; develops a team mentality through driving personal development, engagement, and inclusivity of direct reports
Able to quickly shift gears and lead team through change management
Ensures effective and efficient call coverage patterns that align with hospital priority classification
Cultivates with team effective multi-level and multi-functional customer relationships, building customer equity, and driving improved customer satisfaction and business performance

The base pay range for this position at commencement of employment is between the below range, however, base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including but not limited to, market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, if eligible, including variable pay & general allowances (depending on the position and employee’s work schedule). Subject to the terms and conditions of the applicable policies and plans then in effect, and depending on the position offered and the employee’s work schedule (i.e., part-time schedule), eligible employees are automatically enrolled in a 401(k) plan, as well as participate in Company-sponsored medical, dental, vision, and basic life insurance plans for the employee and the employee’s eligible dependents, and may be eligible to take up to 18 weeks of paid parental leave. Employees will also receive the following paid-time off (which may be prorated based on start date and the employee’s work schedule): 120 hours of vacation per year, paid sick time for eligible Associates of 100% pay continuation for a maximum of 40 hours per calendar year, and 12 paid holidays throughout the calendar year that include both fixed and flexible holidays.
