Royal Canin – Lebanon, TN

Required Shift:

Must have the ability to work a rotating shift.

The scope of the Grinding Utility Operator is to move product inside the site, load trailers for shipment, and complete shipment paperwork. Training will be provided.

Minimum Requirements:

  • High school diploma / GED
  • Forklift experience required
  • ·Demonstrated ability to work in a team environment; must be coachable
  • Passion to work and learn in a manufacturing environment
  • Ability to act with disciplined initiative
  • Working knowledge of computer programs for entering data
  • · Solid understanding of health and safety regulations
  • Basic math and recording abilities
  • Keen eye for detail
  • ​ Good verbal and written communication skills
  • 1+ years’ experience within manufacturing, technical and/or trade discipline
  • Ability to read, write and understand English.
  • Comfortable working with different business systems like SAP, ATMS and week plan.

Physical Requirements:

  • Frequent lifting/carrying (10-50 lbs.) and frequent pushing/pulling (50-200 lbs.).
  • Frequent handling/gripping/bending/stooping.
  • Ability to work at elevated heights off a ladder or platform, climb stairs, leaning over equipment.
  • Ability to stand and / or work on feet for extended periods (minimum eight hours in one shift).

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of experience in a manufacturing setting operating a variety of machines
  • Knowledge of inventory control principles
  • Demonstrated competency in computer and pc software including MS Office and email
  • Experience with SAP or other warehouse management system
  • Understands production schedules, production computer systems, work instructions

What will be your Key Responsibilities?

  • Ensuring that Raw materials are available for production lines on time
  • Communicate potential shortages to relevant stakeholders
  • Maintains close contact with Operations team to ensure that there are no delays in manufacture
  • Raise relevant escalations that have an impact on safety, quality and efficiency
