The Royal Canin IT team leads Global Digital Technology strategy and execution to run and grow these functions of R&D, Procurement, Manufacturing & Supply Chain but also step change the capabilities and digitalize the business.

As a member of this team, you will lead Digital Technology Strategy and execution (responsibility for build, deploy, and accountability for sustain) of one functional area, with annual digital technology budget of $10-15M. This role covers the R&D area made of, but not limited to, Quality & Food Safety, Testing & Conformance, Traceability, Product Lifecycle Management, Formulation.

What are we looking for?

  • Strong Digital Technology background

  • A functional knowledge in Quality & Food Safety, Food Traceability, and or Product Lifecycle Management

  • Thought leadership and relationship building / management with internal stakeholders and external partners/agencies and proven influencing skills.

  • Experience in managing complex programs and capabilities in an international, multicultural & “team of team” environment.

  • Well-organized with excellent written, verbal, and visual presentation skills in English.

  • Experience in building and delivering functional digital strategies/programs in an international organization, ideally in a Consumer Price Goods company.

What will be your key responsibilities?

  • As the trusted Digital Partner for the Global Function, you lead the digital agenda, partnering with the functional team to RUN & GROW functional capabilities through digital or by digitalizing them.

  • You assess the current state of the organization, the industry and peer companies to define the future vision & the strategy (including business case) for your functional area. You will on-board your Functional leadership team on your strategic vision and mobilize the organization & resources to execute it.

  • You own the decision of buying vs building digital capabilities, leveraging internal teams and external digital system integrators. Once piloted, you deploy the capabilities at scale in the organization. You own full lifecycle management of digital capabilities of your area.

  • You own the Digital Investment supporting the functional strategy execution. You govern in partnership with your functional leadership team and are responsible for managing & delivering your P&L line by the year-end. You shape the IVCP & AEP for your area by influencing key senior stakeholders (up to Royal Canin GLT members) to sponsor & support your functional digital strategy.

  • You monitor & govern your projects, finances, and overall digital portfolio.

  • You own technology decision for your area, considering inputs from Solution Architect, validating with Royal Canin & Petcare eco-system, and with Digital Security organization. You will work towards portfolio simplification, minimizing redundancy and technology proliferation.

  • You explore the latest Digital Technology evolution to identify functional innovation opportunities, which you test & learn, promote & scale when value is delivered.
