The Food & Nutrition Enterprise and Solution Architect will be a key driving force in transforming our the Food & Nutrition (F&N) business segment. You will be responsible for defining and executing the enterprise architecture strategy for our digital initiatives, ensuring alignment with business goals, and maximizing the value of technology investments. As a trusted advisor, you will collaborate with segment cross-functional teams to design and implement cutting-edge solutions that enhance customer experiences, drive revenue growth, and maintain a competitive edge in the digital marketplace.

What are we looking for?

  • Minimum 10 years working in an Enterprise/Solution Architecture related roles

  • In-depth knowledge of server infrastructure, storage systems, network design, virtualization, and cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).

  • Technical skills in Cloud, SaaS (Software as a Service), and application development lifecycle, IT operations, its management and tooling

  • Technical knowledge of products and platforms such as Microsoft Azure, Power Apps, Web Platforms (Acquia Drupal, Shopify), CRM Platforms (Treasure Data), MuleSoft, DAM Applications (Lighthouse, Aprimo, etc…), PIM (Salsify, etc..), MACH Architecture.

  • Good understanding of SAP ERP/General ERP architecture and decision making, database management and Cloud areas (preferable Linux, Oracle, Azure and SAP HANA)

  • Preferred: Extensive experience (5+ years) in designing, implementing, and managing infrastructure solutions for SAP systems, with a strong emphasis on SAP S/4 HANA.

  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think strategically and translate business requirements into actionable architectural designs.

  • Strong collaboration skills, working with external technology vendors

  • Strong Story Telling Skills-Excellent communication Skills

  • Deep understanding of business drivers / processes and ability to relate segment priorities to associated technology

  • Learning agility and desire to learn new technology

  • Experience working across multiple levels of an organization

  • Strong problem analysis, negotiating and influencing skills.

  • Management, Senior Management exposure

  • Proven track record to get things done in a matrixed organization and influencing without authority

What will be your key responsibilities?

  • Enterprise & Solution Architecture Strategy: Develop and communicate the F&N segment enterprise architecture strategy, considering business priorities, market trends, and emerging technologies. Drive the evolution of the digital landscape to enable a seamless and integrated experience for our customers.

  • Solution Design and Delivery: Lead the design and implementation of end-to-end solutions for digital products and services. Collaborate with product managers, developers, and other stakeholders to define architectural blueprints, integration patterns, and solution roadmaps.

  • Business and Technology Alignment: Understand the strategic objectives of the business stakeholders and align technology initiatives to support these goals. Act as a bridge between business leaders and technology teams, ensuring that digital solutions meet customer needs and deliver tangible business value.

  • Emerging Technologies and Innovation: Stay up to date with the latest digital trends, technologies, and best practices. Assess the potential of emerging technologies and how they can be leveraged to drive innovation, improve customer experiences, and optimize internal processes.

  • Scalability and Performance Optimization: Architect solutions with scalability and performance in mind, ensuring that digital products can handle increasing user demand while maintaining optimal performance and responsiveness.

  • Security and Compliance: Implement robust security measures for digital solutions, adhering to industry standards and regulatory requirements. Mitigate potential risks and ensure data privacy and protection.

  • Vendor Management: Collaborate with external vendors and technology partners to evaluate and select third-party tools and services that complement our digital business offerings.

  • Mars Inc collaboration : Work closely with central COE teams across Enterprise Architecture, Data, Integration, Cloud, Security, Hosting and operations to ensure segment connectivity and synergy in decisions

As we continue to expand our digital offerings and optimize our operations, we are seeking a highly skilled and visionary Digital Business Segment Enterprise and Solution Architect to join our dynamic team.

The role sits within the Global Food & Nutrition Digital Technology Team and provides Insight, thought leadership and technology guidance when it comes to forming the Digital Technology roadmap. This role partners with the central Mars Inc. Digital Technology team to understand capabilities that currently exist as well as what new capabilities are being explored.
