Global Digital Technologies Product Management - Supply Chain (Pet Nutrition)

Supply Chain Transformation will focus on E2E Planning digital capabilities (along with other priorities)

The E2E Product Manager will be a key element of our global transformational core team.

The role operates at the Global Pet Nutrition level partnering with the Pet Nutrition (PN) Global Business Supply Chain leaders to define PN Digital products and manage the portfolio of high business value digital and data change initiatives globally. The role looks after the digital technology enablers for the E2E Supply program globally and in the regions, working alongside other function/division to define and deliver PN uses cases digital and data strategy.

The role operates across all regions, partnering with peers in the digital technologies organization to develop and deploy robust and sustainable new capabilities.

It brings in external/best practice insights & trends from vendors, analysts and peer companies to influence and drive business transformation at scale for Mars.

It partners very closely with Business SRO Team (process owners, product owners and functional experts)

It partners very closely with regions DT Supply leads on new capabilities and deployment.

It partners closely with 3rd party development teams and consultants.

What are we looking for?

  • Three to five years of experience in digital product management or similar role - E2E Planning preferred

  • Experience In managing large programs with a focus on the Supply Chain function preferred.

  • Strong awareness of Digital technology platforms and awareness on future trends.

  • Project & Program Management – Agile experience preferred

  • Product Management – experience in a products & platforms based operating model

  • Strong analytical, prioritization, and negotiating skills

  • Experience in usability and customer-focused design

  • Passion for building great products to solve customer and business problems

  • Strong Financial/Budget Management

  • Stakeholder Relationship Management of senior stakeholders in a distributed functional organization.

  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability lead and to translate business requirements into technical solutions

  • Strong leadership abilities.

  • Effective communication skills to collaborate with diverse stakeholders and present complex technical concepts in a clear and concise manner.

  • Ability to adapt to a fast-paced, dynamic work environment and manage multiple priorities

  • Experience working in a multi-region business team with potentially conflicting needs/views and ability to navigate a complex organizational landscape

  • Must be customer focused with demonstrated ability to form productive relationship including business leaders, DT associates and project leaders.

  • Ability to educate non-digitally savvy leadership & staff.

  • Learning agility and desire to learn new technology and business.

  • Experience working across multiple levels of an organization.

  • Strong problem analysis, negotiating and influencing skills.

  • Proven track record to get things done in a matrixed organization and influencing without authority.

What will be your key responsibilities?

  • Drive strategies and long-term vision to build best-in-class digital products

  • Craft a product vision (short- and long-term) and convert it to concrete strategy

  • Leading the DT strategy for the functional domain, which involves ownership of the 3-5 year investment roadmap and an active co-creation (with Global Business SRO and Regions Functional) on the digital strategy for the area. This includes both the foundational layer of system needs and the analytics roadmap.

  • Leading and overseeing a team of experts and managing senior stakeholder sponsors, to build our 5 year digital platform strategy for the area.

  • Accountable for delivery of all projects within the portfolio, including responsibility of some specific project/program delivery

  • Responsible for building and maintaining high performing project and program teams, supporting new capability deliverables.

  • Responsible for the overall financial due diligence of the investments governed and prioritised on the roadmap. Play an active role in ensuring financial processes are followed and full transparency is integrated.

  • Responsible for active stakeholder engagement and management across the EP domain steering groups and senior sponsors of new capability.

  • Ensure a very close and strong relationship with the Delivery teams in Core Services or externally (DevOps), providing insight, guidance, and steering on topics related to the functional domain and ensuring a well formed investment profile across the end to end functional domain.

  • Bringing in new external perspective to the area and playing an active thought leadership role within PN DT and in the regions.

  • Lead technical discussions and presentation to non-technical stakeholders

  • Create and manage technical projects plans and provide timely updates on project status

  • Identify technical risks in projects and develop mitigation strategies

  • Develop and maintain relationship with internal and external stakeholders

  • Manage the capability catalogue with the Business Supply workstreams leads and ensure we stay within our portfolio of solutions
