Digital Commerce (DCom) is set to represent 35%+ of all CPG sales in the not-too-distant future. Mars Wrigley has an ambition to more than triple its DCom sales over the coming years. Igniting DCom demand through category thought leadership and impulse enablement are two strategic growth opportunities we will capitalize on.
To enable our ambition, Mars Wrigley has created a Global Center of Acceleration (CoA) that works together with markets, regions, and cross-functional partners to develop strategies and plans to fuel faster growth.
As the Global DCom Strategic Demand Director, you’ll have the opportunity to:
• Build the strategy, test & learn, and execution plans to create & win digital impulse at scale.
• Be the go-to-expert on all things digital category vision & leadership at Mars Wrigley.
• Partner with 25+ markets and our most strategic customers across omnichannel, pure play, and on-demand delivery.
• Be part of a team that is pioneering the future of retail and having fun doing it!
Key Responsibilities:
Capability
• Create a strategy for the future of digital impulse (on and off site) as well as supporting selling story to enable retailer collaboration on new shopping experiences & merchandising strategies.
• Co-pilot the development and deployment of the Mars Snacking Category Vision in DCom and multi-year category growth stories to lead the next horizon of growth with our retail partners.
• Build learning plans and lead competitor intelligence to forecast digital category trends, value-drivers, demand spaces and new business development opportunities.
• Partner with Customer Shopping Insights, Strategic Revenue Management, Category Leadership, and One Demand Data & Analytics teams to define a future-fit approach to digital category management powered by advanced analytics and automation.
Customer
• Collaborate with Sales & Capabilities leads to strengthen relationships with priority customers, secure category captaincies and establish Mars Wrigley the DCom partner of choice.
• Deploy and track execution of digital category growth strategies to maximize business impact, ensuring prioritization in multi-year planning process across our regions and markets.
• Provide input into our next-gen Omnichannel JBP program, support pilots with key customer teams, and drive engagement with local Category Leadership.
Community
• Lead the global Digital Category Leadership community of practice across 25+ markets.
• Drive thought leadership and best-practice sharing across regions & markets.
• Build network with external partners and non-competitors to bring the outside-in.

Knowledge/Experience
Track record of high-quality category development leadership and delivering excellent results.
Proven success in key account management and/or customer collaboration via joint business planning.
Experience building out strategy, processes, playbooks, and tools to inspire A+ execution.
Working knowledge of marketing research with emphasis on using shopper & customer insights to unlock competitive growth.
Confident and compelling communicator with strong writing and presentation skills.
Ability to thrive in a large, matrixed organization with complex stakeholder groups including a global/regional/local operating model.
A natural team builder who has led communities of practice and learning programs to new heights.
