The Petcare Segment consists of five Divisions: Pet Nutrition, Royal Canin, Mars Veterinary Health, Kinship and Science and Diagnostics. All five Divisions have a shared ambition, to become Powered by Data.

The role of Global Data Product Lead for Finance is part of our Royal Canin (RC) Data & Analytics organization. The role reports to the Royal Canin Global BI Data Manager. The role has direct responsibility to transform the Royal Canin Data Foundations across RC in the Finance domain. This role is particularly important given it is heavily contributing to several major programs driven at RC or Mars level to transform this functional areas and make RC powered by data. (Finance of Tomorrow, S&OP+ transformation)

What are we looking for?

  • Professional experience working in the Finance Data area

  • Deep and rich experience in working with Data in a cloud environment (Azure)

  • Great at developing new relationships, driving positive change, and matching analytics opportunities to data acquisition strategy, able to interact comfortably with more senior stakeholders up to Director level

  • Excellent planning, project management, organizational orchestration, peer relationships

  • Data product management skills and Agile ways of working, with proven track record.

  • Vendor management skills are welcome

  • Good understanding of Data Protection and Privacy principles and practices including PI/PL

  • Influences others outside of own job area regarding policies, practices, and procedures

  • Excellent communication skills in English (written and oral)

What will be your key responsibilities?

  • The Global Data Product Lead defines the overall Data Products vision and supervise their delivery for the Finance functional area across Royal Canin

  • Partners with functional Business teams and Data Architect to develop a strategic product for the company

  • Defines the structure of data assets in the Finance area

  • Collaborates with Data Engineering team to build reusable strategic data assets

  • Is the primary point of contact to other teams working on transformations and projects having dependencies with the Supply Chain and S&OP+ strategic data assets (Pet owner 360 project, Petcare Ecosystem project, ERP/EOS project)

  • Ensure appliance of Data Governance, Data Quality, Data Privacy & Security processes on data assets which belong to Finance functional area.

  • Partner with Data Product leads who support other functions to ensure good integration of Data Products across the overall RC data architecture

  • Partners with Business Owners of Finance function (Director level) and main regional representatives in order to orchestrate and govern deliveries and product backlog

  • Partners with Petcare D&A team to further develop synergies with the Petcare Segment Data team and Ecosystem, especially supporting the enrichment of Royal Canin and of PetCare Ecosystem Data Assets.
