The job holder gives strategic direction for the engineering group and ensures that the team deliver excellent operational results. The role is accountable for all Quality, Health, Safety, Environmental, Engineering standards and Compliance in this area.
It is an integral and active member of the Waltham Operations leadership team and as such has shared responsibility for the development and execution of the overall operational strategy and is accountable for the development and delivery of the site asset masterplan to support the goals of the Institute.
What are we looking for?
Strong engineering background educated to Degree level in an engineering discipline (essential)
Significant line manager and people leadership experience with proven ability to build and lead high performing teams (essential)
A proven ability to build strong collaborative relationships with a variety of stakeholders, both internal and external (essential)
Previous experience of operational performance delivery, quality systems and lean methodologies (desirable)
What will be your key responsibilities?
Accountable for the creation, design, development and implementation of the Waltham Site Masterplan and Asset Health Check process and development of a roadmap that delivers the required site investment.
Accountable for Financial, Quality, Health, Safety, Security, Welfare and Environmental standards for all Waltham Engineering work, ensuring that appropriate metrics and continuous improvement targets are defined, monitored and met.
Leadership, accountability and strategic development of the IFM programme and contract for MARS at the Waltham Site. This includes the development, tracking and delivery of relevant KPIs through strong governance and continual audit process.
Development of the stakeholder map for facilities across the global and engineering structures, this associate needs to create and maintain a broad internal and external network.
Leads a team of approx. 7 direct and up to 10 indirect reports and indirect leadership of around 65 hard and soft services contractors on the IFM contract.
