The Business Delivery Services Director role will be accountable for the delivery of a full lifecycle of specific set of IT products within Finance Corporate Functions and additional Corporate Areas that require unique level of services, creating and owning strategic long-term roadmaps in line with the customer priorities, as well as with close relationship with SFC and other Program Teams. Also, this role will be accountable to the service, delivery, security controls and in some cases – product roll-out, overseeing the end-to-end capabilities within the Corporate areas as mentioned before.

The scope of this Business Delivery Services Director will allow the BDS team to provide a unique single point of accountability for the Corporate Segments functions globally as well as for the core Corporate Function teams, for the service and development, or for supporting these customers to navigate the GDO Team.
- (Leadership Membership) Member of the Business Delivery Services Management Team, full accountable to above scope and required to work with other Directors in the area to ensure that BDS goals are delivered in a common way. Member of GDO Senior Leadership supporting the organization to deliver the OGSM goals.
(Strategic accountability) Accountability and ownership of strategic mid/long term roadmap and security compliance of his/hers Application Portfolio.
What will be your key responsibilities?
The Business Delivery Services Director (Corporate Functions) responsibilities include:
. Accountable for the delivery of services partnering with Segments functional experts and Business partnership, also Corporate Functions such as SFC and Program Teams, to understand the demand and deliver adequate solutions, includes liaising with Infrastructure Teams or other teams within GDO organization. The goal is to centralize stakeholder relationship within the Business Delivery Services Director, so there’s upfront and strategic discussions for deploying adequate technology solutions and foundations that will serve/fit for purpose and timelines established by project teams.
. Maintain relationship with strategic Tier 1&2 vendors existing in the GDO portfolio, ensuring the total accountability is owned by their delivery teams. Continuously push operational work from Associates and leverage the existing partnerships to take-over those, while freeing up Associates for work that value and resolve business problems.
. Fully accountable for building and fostering Agile Mindset across the team and other BDS Teams, looking for increasing on the value delivered to business, while reducing the waste on the value flow for all services under scope. Ability to demonstrate flexibility to adjust as the demand goes and being able to adapt to difficult stakeholders.
. Accountable for the security compliance, data privacy and audit compliance for his/her application portfolio, maintaining a close collaboration with the Senior Security Architect Lead from the tower to have up to date information and best practices in place.
. Ownership of application full lifecycle performance.
. Accountable for all ITIL processes compliance within the products in scope.
. Cross-functional accountability for Production Environment Protection when it comes to security breaches – it’ll be expected that the drive and guidance for any crisis or prevention comes from the Business Delivery Services Director.
. Accountable for Product Service Reviews for the tower and a thorough service take on for new applications into maintenance lifecycle.
. Cross functional/Regional activity assignment ensuring adherence to SLA’s and that risk is managed.
. Work with Segments to provide an operational interface to the business.
. Collaborate with projects according to Mars DT signature processes.
. Coaching and development of talent within his/her team; initial direct reports (3) but up to (5-6) according to organizational reviews.
. Lead the ‘local’ Associates in their roles in the delivery and maintenance of the global application portfolio, helping Peers and Line Manager to take care of those Associates.
. In partnership with Segments, engage with business units within his/her function.
. Participation in Governance meetings at a peer/manager level. Pro-actively propose and investigate new areas of improvements or further opportunities.
. Manage delivery of new services, functionality or process improvements within Business Delivery Services through formal Service Introduction processes.
. Support delivery milestones using defined standard processes that meet agreed quality standards.
. Manage support processes within global support framework (3 geographical regions).
. Deliver and report on team performance on a periodic basis or to any extent, when required.
. Ensure succession plans exists and that it meets Associate career development wishes and match the long-term capability requirements of the hub site, between support and development Associates within team.
. Coordinate with the Product Managers from his/her team all the strategic directions and organizational communications/requests.
. Financial management (forecasting / delivering against budgets) for area(s) of responsibility.
. Budget Management $20-25Mi in responsibility.
. Provide senior management escalation and communication of major issues, specially when peers are not online or those escalations happen outside of Time Zone from peers.
. Global responsibility for Business Functional Capability as Service Manager, including Escalation for changes & approvals, global service reviews.
. Ultimate responsible for the Disaster Recovery Exercise for Services owned and related crisis management.
. Promote initiatives that improve global service performance, availability and housekeeping partnering with the Service Level Management Senior Lead from the tower, following central best practices.
. Responsible for creating, maintaining and updating the SSS (Service Support Statement) for Services Owned.
. Accountable for any BDS survey action plans that are related to the Business Critical Services owned by him/her.
. Coordinate global initiatives to improve global support process & ways of working, especially tasks and activities that are pertinent to BDS Big Rocks Program as well as BDS Transformation Program.
. Be up to speed and working collaboratively with the Finance of Tomorrow Program (for the Finance functions) as well as with the new Business Transformations, ensuring to follow the PMO standards from the tower and ensuring that upfront discussions are done on a properly manner around resources, capacity, foundational/technical preparation in the current ecosystem.
. Be part of Hub Management Team at HUB Level.
. Partner with the Senior Solution Architect from the tower to ensure Application Portfolio Management is maintained properly and the usage of data to create strategies of portfolio simplification and supplier strategy measures.
The Business Delivery Services Director – Corporate Functions will be a primary stakeholder in all of the underlying IT processes corresponding to platform/functions described in the first section of this document, which enables full lifecycle of the services his/her team own.

The Business Delivery Services Director – Corporate Functions will succeed in this role by having clear and concise communication skills, not being afraid of raising opportunities and facing challenging situations, and being able to deal with new business models and yet engage + propose resolution for business problems. This Director will also have to redesign how we centralize areas such as HR and reorganize scope within the tower if necessary (Strategic Mindset will be key here).
On top of the leadership skills, this Director will be closely working with the SFC Team to restructure the way BDS engages for software asset utilization/adoption as well as to fine tune demands through a common service catalog for the function. All this work is super important, but there’s a high need of someone who impacts positively in the engagement of the team and in the 3rd party relationship – that piece is as important as the delivery itself, for this fast-paced function.
