Digital Commerce (DCom) is set to represent 35%+ of all CPG sales in the not-too-distant future and is a must-win channel. Mars Wrigley has an ambition to more than triple its DCom business over the coming years and igniting growth through Supply Chain is one of the strategic opportunities we will capitalize on to help us achieve this goal.
The role of the European Regional DCom Supply Chain Manager is responsible for developing, piloting, and scaling New Fulfillment Model (NFM) capabilities, accelerating our growth with top DCom customers and through our Mars Unattended Retail - MUR business (e.g. Vending and unattended micro-markets). Top priorities for this role include:
- Perfect availability for DCom and Mars Unattended Retail
- Profitable cold chain
- System enablement
This is an exciting opportunity to work in a crucial role that reports to the Global DCom SC Director and is part of the global Mars Wrigley SC team supporting our SC Data & Analytics agenda.
Candidate can be based anywhere in the UK with occasional travel required to offices in Paddington plus international travel opportunities to US (10% of role).

Key Responsibilities:
- Supporting development of key digital supply chain capabilities, teaming with global and local markets to determine key intervention areas to address.
- Developing disruptive and viable network roadmaps with cross-functional partners (Packaging/Industrial Engineering/IT/D&A). Translating digital needs into actionable and tangible E2E supply chain workstreams in close partnership with the key markets.
- Conducting proofs of concept with new capabilities, customers and emerging external partners, creating repeatable models and documenting in Playbooks to benefit the wider business.
- Implementing KPIs to allow tracking and momentum toward new digital capabilities and operations.
- Representing Mars Wrigley supply chain with our key digital customers and through effective collaborative relationships add increased value by optimizing our end-to-end supply chain.
- Creating and leading global functional communities of practice with regional and market digital supply chain managers, building new capability and supporting a shift of mindset and behaviors.
- Supporting the development of the right Portfolio for DCom and MUR, working with Demand, R&D and Engineering and SC teams.
- As DCom and MUR are fast paced and ever changing business areas, you will be continually prioritizing, adapting and evolving the role to suit the needs of the business and our partners.
Knowledge and Experience:
Essential:
- Robust and successful experience within supply chain; minimum of 5+ years of experience
- Strong track record of customer facing success and business acumen in working with teams to identify problems to solve, ideating on the art of the possible, and bringing possibilities to life
- Strength in partnering with business teams and technology teams in bringing solutions to life at the intersection of process and technology
- Deep knowledge and experience in supply chain operations and proven track record of working with and managing a complex supply chain/business transformation
- Self-starter with ability to work highly independently and act as subject matter expert for broader business
- Ability to apply problem solving and process improvement techniques and coordinate multiple projects simultaneously
- Experience with design thinking, and a creative problem solving approach
- Experience in relationships with digital commerce customers such as Amazon
