Job Description:

The purpose of the job is to design and implement process solutions that will enable the delivery of our PNE DC&T project pipeline. The job holder will be accountable for complex projects aimed at renovating our existing product portfolio, new innovations, and to ensure that opportunities to optimise costs are identified and realised. The job holder will work closely with the R&D, Commercial, Supply and Engineering functions at a global and regional level, on existing and new process technology platforms.

What will be your key responsibilities?

  • Will lead the technical process design and development for a portfolio of complex projects (including Innovation, Renovation, Value Leadership).

  • Accountable for the optimisation of existing processes to improve cost, quality, line performance and sustainability

  • Work seamlessly with cross-functional partners including global & regional R&D teams, Supply, Engineering and Commercial on the scoping, development and implementation of process technology solutions

  • Accountable for the success of product scale up/ industrialisation into Mars Petcare factories including the relevant documentation and presentation of results.

  • Accountable for delivering robust process documentation including specifications, FMEA, and driving compliance with DfVS Process roadmap

  • Intellectual Property and food & people safety considerations to developments

  • Will lead process area of risk management and inform/influence the project team.

  • Will build expertise in process development, ensuring knowledge is effectively captured and shared across regions and functions

  • Accountable for providing functional training, coaching and mentoring for R&D Associates in regional R&D teams within areas of expertise

What are we looking for?

1. Education & Professional Qualification

University degree in a technical discipline with experience in a technical field – ideally in the process development area. 4+ years of job experience in the areas of NPD, engineering or a technically related discipline – ideally including process development

2. Knowledge/Experience

• Track record of leading the delivery of innovative R&D solutions

• Professional knowledge of process development in a relevant field.

• Excellent interpersonal skills, eg. Communication, relations building and networking skills

• Computer proficiency in MS Office applications

3. Key competencies
