  • Lead a pet and pet-owner centric approach to architecture & design across the Petcare Data Platform
  • Through thorough understanding of the data, use-cases, engineering frameworks and data strategy, design & architect the best fit solutions, by market, to cater for short, medium & long-term aspirations
    • Solutions including: Advanced analytics; business intelligence, science research, marketing & activation
  • Demonstrating leadership, influence & collaboration with:
    • The Product Director, as a key stakeholder and partner of the Product Management function to allow for efficient implementation & release of the Products within the global product catalogue to your market solution
    • The R&D /Innovations Director to ensure that the most effective technical solutions are being tested and selected to ensure that the most technically advanced, market compliant, performant and robust data solutions are implemented
    • Division stakeholders & peers and Engagement teams to ensure the design of pet & pet-owner centric solutions
    • Digital technologies and Enterprise Architecture teams to ensure joined up, Mars-leading solutions
    • Legal Counsel, Compliance and SecOps to ensure that solutions are not only robust and fit for purpose, but also compliant, market by market
    • Data Engineering to ensure a full understanding of the frameworks and processes in place
  • Provide technical leadership in key areas of consumer- and pet-oriented data governance

What are we looking for?

  • Deep and rich experience in working with data and deliver business-changing data solutions
  • At least 10 years of experience in this space, with particular focus on working with consumer centric data for consumer-centric outcomes
  • At least 5 years in a senior data/architecture/leadership role with demonstrable thought leadership abilities
  • Comfortable working across different time zones
  • Great inter-personal skills and insight imparting capabilities with the ability to inspire and take senior leadership on the data journey
  • Proven ability to guide and partner with senior technical leaders
  • Excellent understanding of Compliance, Data Protection and Privacy principles and practices including across the US
  • Great at developing new relationships, driving positive change, and highly innovative
  • Ability to motivate and influence highly skilled professionals to achieve major organizational goals
  • Ability to communicate complex subjects in a clear and simple way
  • Superior planning, project management skills
  • Willingness to travel internationally as needed
