The Consumer Technical Insights (CTI) Capability Senior Scientist - Sensory operates within the Sensory and Consumer Science Capability program in Mars Pet Nutrition CTI. The role works with a range of internal stakeholders and external partners. The job holder owns sensory protocols and standards, is responsible for advancing these and provides technical expertise related to these standards including training to the CTI community. They also ensure sensory panels are working according to these procedures across regions.

What are we looking for?

  • University degree in sensory & consumer science, food science, or related equivalent

  • Experience in application of sensory & consumer science in R&D and familiar with sensory data collection softwares

  • Project management

  • Strong communication and presentation skills, fluent in English

What will be your key responsibilities?

  • Develop, update and manage Mars Pet Nutrition Sensory testing guidelines, methodologies and tools across ingredient, product, and pack portfolio and ensure external and internal sensory analysis partners are calibrated against these

  • Responsible to manage defined number of external sensory expert panels in alignment with internal customer needs

  • Develop and conduct sensory trainings within Mars Pet Nutrition

  • Advise on product sensory evaluation for Global and Regional projects & stakeholders
