Corporate Functions IT Director Engineering – Mars Global Services - Guararema, Brazil

The role of Business Delivery Services Director – Corporate Functions operates under the Global Digital Operations team from Mars Digital Technologies organization, serving as a single point of contact for Global Corporate and Segment customers. This leader will help establish differentiated IT Operating Models for various types of products, using DevOps/DevSecOps tools and frameworks for applications, either under full deployment or, in some cases, for light/medium complex SaaS solutions with low development flow.

This IT Director will focus on delivering high-quality services through a high-performance team of Associates and 3rd Party suppliers, with a main emphasis on creating and maintaining robust operations and service strategies around automation opportunities, security standards, monitoring capabilities, and continuous efficiencies across the portfolio, in line with the business priorities.

This Job will succeed by applying best practices and knowledge of internal or external trends, utilizing benchmarks in order to improve products and services. The successful candidate should not hesitate to propose changes in a complex set of technologies and data architecture. This manager will serve as a Line Manager of up to 5-6 Associates and extended 3rd Party contractors.

What are we looking for?

The Corporate Functions IT Director Engineering will succeed in this role by having clear and concise communication skills, not being afraid of raising opportunities and facing challenging situations, and being able to deal with new business models and yet engage + propose resolution for business problems. This Director will also have to redesign how we centralize areas such as HR and reorganize scope within the tower if necessary (Strategic Mindset will be key here).

On top of the leadership skills, this Director will be closely working with the SFC Team to restructure the way Business Delivery Systems (BDS) engages for software asset utilization/adoption as well as to fine tune demands through a common service catalog for the function. All this work is super important, but there’s a high need of someone who impacts positively in the engagement of the team and in the 3rd party relationship – that piece is as important as the delivery itself, for this fast-paced function.

What will be your key responsibilities?

The role has three dimensions of accountability:

  • (Operational accountability) Accountability for the effective and efficient delivery of full cycle of products within Corporate Functions – but not limited to:

Reporting & Consolidation products that support the service lines from the newly formed Center of Excellence Finance Technologies (S/4 related, but not only)

Core Corporate FP&A and Controllership functions

Tax

Treasury

Benefits

Risk Management

Internal Audit

Corporate Affairs

Legal Center of Excellence

  • (Leadership Membership) Member of the Business Delivery Services management team, full accountable to above scope and required to work with other peer Directors to ensure that BDS goals are delivered in a common way. Member of GDO Senior Leadership supporting the organization to deliver the company goals.
  • (Strategic accountability) Accountability and ownership of strategic mid/long term roadmap and security compliance of his/hers Application Portfolio.
