Global Food Integrity Manager

Elevate your career by stepping into this high-impact role that goes beyond just meeting food safety and certification standards. We're looking for a dynamic leader with a strong technical background to drive excellence in areas like food fraud, defense, and foreign material management.

You'll also play a pivotal role in modernizing existing food safety protocols, transforming them into user-friendly guidelines and actionable tools that underpin our FSSC22000 certification across all segments (Snacking, Petcare and Food). Make a meaningful difference while leading the way in food safety and quality.

This role can be based anywhere in the world as long as you are able to work in hybrid model from a Mars office.

What are we looking for?

  • Degree qualified in Science or similar (e.g. engineering) (a bonus would be Post-graduate qualifications in Business Management (MBA) and/or Training and Assessment)
  • 10+ years relevant experience ideally in the role of Lead Auditor of Quality Management Systems
  • Experience developing, deploying and operating customer focused business processes
  • Demonstrated ability to influence without authority.
  • Experience in food safety risk identification and management
  • Experience in business change management (and use of tools such as ADKAR);
  • Knowledge of quality improvement tools and quality management systems;

What will be your key responsibilities?

  • Project Leadership: spearhead complex projects on food fraud, food defense, and foreign materials. Act independently as an expert and provide necessary leadership and technical direction.
  • Strategy Implementation: develop, implement, and monitor controls to deter food fraud. Take ownership of the Corporate Food Fraud Strategy and Food Defence Standards ensuring effective transition under FSSC22000.
  • Technical Expertise: act as a key consultant on foreign material management and physical hazard food safety. Stay updated with latest scientific developments in these areas for effective risk management.
  • Quality Assurance: serve as a lead auditor for business quality systems. Inform technical auditors of necessary requirements and perform at least one corporate internal audit per annum.
  • Risk Assessment: offer insights on risk prevention associated with foreign materials. Provide the segments with the latest research data for identifying and managing associated risks.
  • Process Development: create efficient, cutting-edge processes that ensure Company Inc's compliance regarding food fraud, food defense, and physical hazards. This involves the production of relevant corporate documents, standards, procedures, training materials, and more.
  • Mars supports flexible working and this role will operate under a hybrid working arrangement, requiring attendance at a Mars site for a minimum of 50% of the working week.
