Area Business Manager – Royal Canin Field Sales

South East (Hampshire/Surrey)

£35,600 - £40,000 + 20% annual bonus

Our Royal Canin team have an opportunity for an individual that's passionate about both sales and our high quality pet food product! This is a field-based sales role covering a defined territory (Hampshire/Surrey), that's responsible for the relationships with our Breeders and Rescue Shelters and Partners.

It is critical we reach more Partners (breeders and rescue) to increase recommendation and drive retention of sales. The recommendation of our products by Partners to new puppy/kitten and dog/cat new owners is the number one priority, in line with our Value Partnerships strategy; by serving more pets you will help transform our business growth.

What are we looking for?

  • Proven track record in territory sales or within a sales function

  • An understanding and awareness of our products.

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills (oral and written)

  • Ability to create strong relationships across internal departments and external partners.

  • Time Management and planning/organisational skills

What will be your key responsibilities?

  • Develop trusted relationships with all key Partners with a consumer centric focus and a Consultative Selling approach to co-create solutions to generate mutual benefits with health through nutrition outcomes.

  • Strive to achieve key KPI’s; including new Breeder Acquisition to drive recommendation, distribution and product volume supported by a deep level of product knowledge to enable our Partners (e.g., breeders and rescue centres) to have relevant and impactful conversations to make an effective recommendation to the new Pet Owner.

  • Identify new customer opportunities and prospects and utilise promotional activity to drive business initiatives.

  • Effective and efficient territory management and adherence to coverage model ensuring that customers are visited in line with their classification.

  • To maintain a deep level of knowledge and understanding of our products, our portfolio and nutrition through available training tools and to effectively share this knowledge with our key partners.

  • Attendance at internal and external company events. Attendance at cat and dog shows and events (some weekend work required); working as part of a team and taking on the lead as Show Manager as and when required.
