Under the direction of the AM, CIE, or VSM and based on the area’s top losses and key challenges, the Production Coordinator creates and executes plans to accelerate building people’s capabilities. The PC will train, coach and mentor operators to perform AM activities accordingly with the AM Daily Management System (DMS).

What will be your key responsibilities?

  • Works directly with the MSE Leader to create the daily and weekly production plan and supports the execution of the plan focused on associate capability and flawless execution.

  • Learn how AM works with other pillars.

  • Learn all Essential Elements of AM and how they impact one another.

  • Teach the importance of CP0/1 and how they impact AM Essential Elements.

  • Teach, train, and coach team members on how to apply AM to their equipment.

  • Lead multiple AWTs across the site to make progress across multiple value streams.

  • Ensure critical assets across the site effectively achieve AM Step 3 and maintain the efficiency gains.

  • Teach associates the necessary knowledge to pass their step-up cards at level 3.

  • As the key trainer and equipment/machinery expert of an assigned area, responsible to build operator capability, problem solving and technical understanding across teams and shifts.

  • Performs the duties of the role demonstrating the necessary leadership behaviors.

  • As the subject matter expert of the Autonomous Maintenance (AM) and Daily Management Systems (DMS) provides guidance and training to Associates in these areas of expertise; including DMS, Clean Inspect Lubricate (CIL), Centerlines (CL’s), Abnormality Handling, and 5S.

  • Drives loss elimination and performance improvements through observation of production operations and by analyzing loss data to recommend solutions.

  • Recommend areas of opportunity to improve Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) such as productivity, quality, safety, etc.

  • Participates in the execution of planned production “stops” to perform regular maintenance or other routine activities, coach operators on the effectiveness of proactive planning verses unplanned breakdowns.

  • Influences and mentor associates with their self-development and business objectives.

  • Maintains Level 4 Step Up Cards (SUCs).

  • Works Independently within established procedures and practices.

  • Be flexible to work on weekends and/or different shifts as needed.

This role must have the ability to effectively communicate with Value Stream Managers, CI Engineers, Maintenance Leads, and Quality & Safety Associates. The decisions made by the role will directly impact on the productivity of the work area.
