Job Description
We are seeking a reliable and motivated Warehouse Associate to join our frontline team at the Maersk Warehouse, based in Parow Industria This role is essential in ensuring accurate and timely picking, packing, and handling of products. The ideal candidate will follow direction well, work efficiently in a fast-paced environment, and uphold safety and quality standards in all warehouse operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick and pack orders according to customer requirements and internal standards
- Handle products with care to minimize damage and ensure quality
- Use RF scanners to scan and track inventory during picking, packing, and stock movement
- Follow instructions from the Team Leader and work collaboratively with team members
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area
- Assist in loading and unloading shipments, and perform stock replenishment as required
- Identify and report discrepancies or damaged items
- Comply with company policies, procedures, and safety guidelines at all times
- Maintain Warehouse 5S Standards as per procedure
- Execute daily tasks in accordance with established warehouse SOPs
- Consistently follow and promote company safety standards
Minimum Requirements
- Matric (Grade 12) or equivalent required
- Previous experience in a warehouse environment preferred
- Experience working with a Warehouse Management System (WMS) is a strong advantage
- Familiarity with RF scanning devices
- Basic math, reading, and written communication skills
- Attention to detail and ability to follow instructions precisely
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work in a team-oriented, fast-paced environment
- Willing to work flexible hours, including weekends or overtime as required
