TEAM MANAGER, OTC - CASH APPLICATIONS

Job Description:

  • To have a thorough knowledge of the ML Shipping Business and OTC End to End processes with expertise in Release Services stream (Perform Payment Application and Approve Freight Release).
  • Supervise the performance of the team to meet all agreed SLA and KPIs.
    • Maintain and monitor performance of the team.
    • Initiate corrective and preventive action in areas affecting performance.
    • Establish and appraise on staff personal critical success factors, address performance appraisals, mentoring & coaching etc.
  • Maintain accuracy and timeliness levels as per the set KPIs. Analyse root cause for lapses in timeliness and accuracy in the regular processing and reporting activities and take necessary corrective and preventive action.
  • Timely reporting to Process Manager on day-to-day team performance and issues
  • Maintain adequate internal control and segregation of duties which will result in optimum utilization of resources.
  • Ensure that the SOP are reviewed periodically, and changes are suggested to super users for inclusion in the SOP.
  • Lead and motivate the team.
  • Establish and maintain training plans for staff.
  • Staff administration in the form of leave planning, shift scheduling, attendance, maintaining overall compliance with staff policies.
  • Identify and develop high potential staff for succession planning.
  • Maintain good rapport with customers & receive a structured & periodical feedback from business partner(s)
  • Ensure successful implementation of migrations/changes as per plan/guidelines/frameworks provided.
  • Identify areas for Service Delivery Improvement, discuss with peers in the same process and recommend for changes.
  • Practice APM-M Group culture, values and reputation and ensure compliance with APM-M Group and CB policies.
  • Ensure that all the critical activities performed by the team are adequately covered under the business continuity plan.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement to realize team efficiency.

Qualifications:

  • MUST BE AMENABLE FOR FIXED NIGHT SHIFT SCHEDULE
  • Graduate of bachelor's degree in accountancy/finance or related course
  • Overall 5 years work experience
  • At least 2 years leadership experience
  • Knowledge in Accounting is required.
  • Knowledge in Customer Service, SAP is a plus.
  • Excellent communication and people management skills
  • Shipping Industry Knowledge
  • Project Management and Migration experience is a must.
  • Good presentation skills
  • Result-driven, Analytical & Problem-Solving ability for trouble shooting.
  • Responsible in attracting and retaining right people to build team commitment.
