Maersk Ground Freight (MGF) offers transportation services like FTL (Full Truckload), LTL (Less Than Truckload), brokerage, cross-border trucking, groupage, and sortation hubs, connecting Maersk or Customer warehouses or depots or cross-dock/consolidation/deconsolidation facilities through a robust network led by best-in-class operations and technology. This integrated network will service multi-channels like B2B, B2C, B2B2C, e-commerce, direct to store, dropship, returns, and more, leveraging asset-based, asset-light, and non-asset models.
We are seeking an Operations Supervisor for our Coppell, TX location
Shift: 5:00 PM - 3:00 AM Monday-Friday
Job Description:
Maersk is seeking a capable and career-oriented Operations Warehouse Supervisor to lead our fast-paced cross-dock operation. The qualified candidate will coordinate all activities of warehouse personnel. The supervisor will provide planning for, direction to, and will control available resources associated with the timely, damage-free, and safe loading/unloading of freight on assigned shifts. In addition, the supervisor will provide warehouse training, performance feedback, and provide disciplinary recommendations when necessary. Previous experience with LTL or cross-dock cargo operations is a plus.
Core Responsibilities & Duties:
Ensure all work is performed according to Maersk approved procedures, standards, and specifications for warehouse operations
Directly supervise all activities of warehouse agents and support personnel engaged in loading and unloading trucks and trailers
Assign job tasks to workers according to unloading and loading schedules
Provide guidance to subordinates on goals and objectives on a weekly basis
Ensure proper maintenance of facility, forklift equipment, and handling supplies
Execute appropriate load plans and proper load balance to ensure safe vehicle operation
Coordinate work assignments, monitor performance, and provide training on relevant job duties
Maintain facility appearance, condition and security
Maintain record of those responsible for trailer seal verifications
Perform facility inspections
Assist in the loading and unloading of trailers
Manage the dispatch of over the road line haul drivers
Must be able to frequently lift and/or move up to fifty (50) pounds
Must be able to occasionally lift and/or move up to ninety (90) pounds

Qualifications:
Strong team player that thrives in a fast-paced environment
Ability to drive performance of direct reports and lead a team in a lean manufacturing environment
Prior air freight, LTL, or cross-dock experience is required
Must have two (2) or more years of supervisory experience in a high-volume, fast-paced environment
Must possess demonstrated leadership ability
Knowledge of proper freight handling techniques
Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of operations
Must be flexible to work weekends and nights
Forklift and general freight handling experience

Pay Range:
$65,000.00 to $70,000.00 per year
*The above stated pay range is the anticipated starting salary range for the position. The Company may adjust this range in light of prevailing market conditions and other factors such as location. The Company will work directly with the selected candidate(s) on the final starting salary in accordance with all applicable laws.
