Job Description

About Maersk Air Cargo

At Maersk, our vision extends far beyond the ocean. We aim to deliver truly integrated logistics that connect and simplify our customers’ supply chains through global end‑to‑end solutions. To support these strategic ambitions, Maersk Air Cargo (MAC) plays a critical role by providing reliable air freight services to customers worldwide.

Based in Copenhagen, MAC brings more than 25 years of experience in European air cargo operations. We operate a modern fleet of Boeing aircraft and uphold exceptionally high operational standards. This commitment is reflected in the way we manage and maintain our fleet — using our own highly skilled technicians at our line stations in Cologne, Leipzig, and Billund. Major maintenance checks are performed in Shannon, in close collaboration with our long‑standing partner AAG.

We are now looking for a proactive and capable colleague to join our MCC department, supporting the growing demands of daily operations. In this role, you will act as a central link between administrative teams in Denmark, our three maintenance bases in Cologne, Leipzig, and Billund, and all 3rd‑party MRO providers. Together with the team, you will ensure effective oversight of day‑to‑day maintenance activities, helping keep the Maersk Air Cargo fleet airworthy 24/7.

What we offer

Maersk Air Cargo offers a workplace with great degrees of freedom. We focus on both professional and personal development. Good staff relations, with a good and informal tone, where everyone contributes to solutions to the daily tasks across the departments. You will be part of ongoing adaptation of our procedures. We aim to find continuous improvements through dialogue both internally in the MCC department but also between the various departments in the company.

As an employee in the MCC department:

  • You will be part of a team of 9, with a daily Manager and 8 Supervisors on shift.
  • You will be working on a shift pattern, as the MCC department must be staffed 24/7/365.
  • The position will be permanently based at the headquarters in Copenhagen.
  • You are able to travel for a week, 5-6 times a year, to gain some practical experience on our fleet.
  • In your daily work, you will be the Point of Contact for all our daily maintenance operations.
  • You will become the focal point for all communication regarding maintenance less than A-checks.

What you bring to the role:

  • You are fluent in Danish and English.
  • You must have or have had an AML B1 certificate on a Commercial aircraft type, preferably with B1/B2 type rating on either a B767/CF6 or B777/GE90.
  • You have a technical background, preferably with experience in both troubleshooting and ETOPS.
  • It is a necessity that you are outgoing, flexible, critical in relation to your work tasks, and ready for new challenges, as you will have contact with everyone in the Maersk Air Cargo organization.
  • You are familiar with Microsoft Office and various cloud solutions. It is also an advantage to have a flair for IT in general, as you will, among other things, work quite a lot in our maintenance system CAMP.
  • Even though you enjoy working across all departments, you must also be able to work independently as an employee in MCC.
