Job Description

As site WnD manager you will have the full accountability for P&L and operations of the Warehousing and Distributions products for the site. By managing the products for the site, you have a significant impact on the short- and long-term financial and operating objectives as set by the overall regional business plan. You will be leading, guiding and developing the operational activities of multiple products within a large area or multiple smaller areas with moderate to significant impact on Business Unit results. With your operational management skills can make a difference by supporting and enabling the Maersk Wnd product families and value proposition to our clients being either stand alone or part of a global supply chain solution.

Key responsibilities

Reporting to the Area WnD Manager, you have responsibility for providing expertise for business planning and budgeting in the function. Approving policies and procedures for the Area Operations function that contribute to the overall regional operations plan. Against the targets for the various functions, you are accountable for setting and monitoring the performance for the Area Operations. As an experience team manager you will lead, guide and develop a team to ensure the Area achieves its objectives.

Your key responsibilities will include:

Profit & Loss

• P&L responsible for the site. Covering all products and clients offered at this site

• New and existing customer management

• Contract management

• Site performance (cost/utilization)

• Continious improvement & optimization of assets

• Investment proposals and follow up on the same

Product

• Execution of WnD strategy for site in alignment with Area WnD Manager

• Business development aligned with strategy

• Develop new customers by liaising with area sales

• Site implementation

• Growth targets

• Product mix

• Tender handling support to Area WnD Manager

• Expand business footprint while ensuring profitable growth

• Customization and localization of the products within the framework

• Cross functional support to Area WND Manager

Operational excellence

• Manage the operations of the location

• HSSE & compliance adherence

• Manage subcontractors needs and used at this location for WnD services

• Drive compliance & regulatory adherence

• Sites operating basis security / IT standards

General management

• Lease administration

• Contract management

• Drive adherence to governance framework

People

• Facilitate the execution training linked to products, solutions and clients

• All people and safety aspects

We are looking for

You have +7 years’ site management experience (omnichannel fulfilment) and extensive operational knowledge of WnD. Excellent stakeholder management capabilities with experience to work in an international matrix organization are key to succeed in this role.

Lean thinking and continuous improvement is your second nature and you have developed over the years excellent interpersonal, communication and negotiating skills

You have strong knowledge of local market and culture, and you are strong in dealing with customers. A high level of financial acumen – reading, interpreting and acting on P&L is your second nature. Similar as your Dutch as this is your mother tongue and you also have also excellent written and verbal English language skills

Als Site WnD Manager (Warehousing & Distribution) tragen Sie die vollständige Ergebnisverantwortung (P&L) sowie die operative Gesamtverantwortung für die Warehousing- und Distributionsprodukte am Standort.

Durch die Steuerung dieser Produkte leisten Sie einen wesentlichen Beitrag zur Erreichung der kurz- und langfristigen finanziellen sowie operativen Ziele im Einklang mit dem regionalen Geschäftsplan.

Sie führen, steuern und entwickeln die operativen Aktivitäten mehrerer Produktbereiche innerhalb eines großen Standorts oder mehrerer kleinerer Standorte und haben damit einen maßgeblichen Einfluss auf die Ergebnisse der Business Unit.

Hauptverantwortlichkeiten

In direkter Berichtslinie an den Area WnD Manager sind Sie verantwortlich für die Bereitstellung von Expertise in den Bereichen Geschäftsplanung und Budgetierung innerhalb der Funktion.

Sie genehmigen Richtlinien und Prozesse für die Area Operations und stellen sicher, dass diese zum übergeordneten regionalen Operationsplan beitragen.

Darüber hinaus sind Sie verantwortlich für die Definition und Überwachung der Leistungskennzahlen der Area Operations sowie für die Führung, Steuerung und Weiterentwicklung Ihres Teams zur Zielerreichung.

Ihre Aufgaben im Detail

Profit & Loss (P&L)

• Gesamtverantwortung für die P&L des Standorts über alle Produkte und Kunden hinweg
• Betreuung bestehender sowie Gewinnung neuer Kunden
• Vertragsmanagement
• Steuerung der Standortperformance (Kosten / Auslastung)
• Kontinuierliche Verbesserung und Optimierung der eingesetzten Ressourcen und Anlagen
• Erstellung und Nachverfolgung von Investitionsanträgen

Produktverantwortung

• Umsetzung der WnD-Strategie am Standort in Abstimmung mit dem Area WnD Manager
• Geschäftsentwicklung im Einklang mit der definierten Strategie
• Entwicklung neuer Kunden in Zusammenarbeit mit dem Vertrieb auf Area-Ebene
• Steuerung von Standortimplementierungen
• Verantwortung für Wachstumsziele
• Optimierung des Produktportfolios (Produktmix)
• Unterstützung des Area WnD Managers bei Ausschreibungen (Tender Management)
• Ausbau des Geschäfts bei gleichzeitiger Sicherstellung profitablen Wachstums
• Anpassung und Lokalisierung von Produkten innerhalb des vorgegebenen Rahmens
• Funktionsübergreifende Unterstützung auf Area-Ebene

Operative Exzellenz

• Gesamtverantwortung für den operativen Betrieb des Standorts
• Sicherstellung von HSSE- und Compliance-Anforderungen
• Steuerung externer Dienstleister/Subunternehmer für WnD-Leistungen
• Gewährleistung der Einhaltung gesetzlicher Vorschriften und regulatorischer Anforderungen
• Sicherstellung der Einhaltung von Sicherheits- und IT-Standards am Standort

Allgemeines Management

• Verwaltung von Miet- und Leasingverträgen
• Vertragsmanagement
• Sicherstellung der Einhaltung von Governance-Richtlinien

People & Leadership

• Förderung und Umsetzung von Schulungsmaßnahmen in Bezug auf Produkte, Lösungen und Kunden
• Verantwortung für alle Personal- und Sicherheitsthemen
• Schaffung eines attraktiven Arbeitsumfelds („Best Place to Work“)
• Sicherstellung einer exzellenten Kundenbetreuung

Ihr Profil

• Mehr als 7 Jahre Erfahrung im Site Management (z. B. Omnichannel-Fulfillment) sowie fundierte operative Kenntnisse im Bereich Warehousing & Distribution
• Ausgeprägte Fähigkeiten im Stakeholder-Management sowie Erfahrung in einer internationalen Matrixorganisation
• Lean Thinking und kontinuierliche Verbesserung sind fester Bestandteil Ihrer Arbeitsweise
• Hervorragende Kommunikations-, Verhandlungs- und zwischenmenschliche Fähigkeiten
• Fundierte Kenntnisse des lokalen Marktes sowie der kulturellen Gegebenheiten
• Ausgeprägte Kundenorientierung und Erfahrung im Umgang mit Kunden
• Sehr hohe finanzielle Kompetenz – insbesondere im Lesen, Interpretieren und Steuern von P&L-Kennzahlen
• Fließende Englischkenntnisse in Wort und Schrift (zusätzlich idealerweise lokale Sprachkenntnisse je nach Standort)
