Job Description

The Site Manager role within Maersk Contract Logistics offers an opportunity to lead critical warehousing operations in a global organization, managing complex, multi-customer environments while driving safety, operational excellence and continuous improvement. This position is ideal for a results driven logistics leader who thrives in site based operations and is motivated to develop high performing teams while delivering strong customer and business outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

Operational Leadership

  • Manage end to end warehousing operations across multiple facility types, including CFS, CY, inland depots and bonded warehouses
  • Ensure accurate inventory control, efficient storage utilization and timely fulfillment execution in line with SLAs and customer expectations
  • Set operational priorities, allocate resources effectively and ensure smooth day to day site operations

Business & Process Excellence

  • Develop and execute site level business and operational plans aligned with Maersk Contract Logistics strategy
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on productivity, cost optimization, quality and customer satisfaction
  • Identify operational risks and implement corrective and preventive actions to ensure business continuity

Compliance, Safety & Governance

  • Ensure full compliance with HSE, security, legal and regulatory requirements across all site operations
  • Champion a strong safety-first culture, ensuring adherence to Maersk safety standards and local regulations
  • Monitor audits, inspections and corrective action plans to maintain compliance and operational integrity

People Leadership & Stakeholder Management

  • Lead, coach and develop site teams to deliver consistent operational performance and continuous improvement
  • Foster a strong performance culture aligned with Maersk values, safety standards and ethical conduct
  • Act as the primary point of contact for customers, vendors and internal stakeholders at the site level
  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to support business objectives
  • Provide regular performance updates, insights and recommendations to senior management

Preferred Experience & Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Engineering, Business, or a related field
  • 7 -10+ years of experience in warehousing or contract logistics operations with at least 3–5 years in a site or operations leadership role
  • Experience managing large teams and complex warehouse environments
  • Strong knowledge of warehousing operations, inventory management and fulfillment processes. Solid understanding of logistics and supply chain operations
  • Strong planning, organization and execution skills with the ability to manage complexity and multiple priorities
  • Analytical and problem solving mindset with the ability to make sound operational decisions
  • Hands on experience with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and operational reporting tools
  • Exposure to continuous improvement methodologies (Lean, Six Sigma, or similar) is an advantage
