Job Description

The Senior Maersk Ground Freight Execution Representative is responsible for the end-to-end execution of high-volume and operationally complex ground transportation accounts. The role ensures reliable service delivery, fast exception resolution, cost control, and continuous improvement across FTL, LTL, Intermodal, and cross-border movements. Acting as a subject matter expert, this role supports customers with tight SLAs and high visibility while mentoring junior execution resources.

Key Responsibilities

Execution & Service Delivery

  • Manage execution for high-volume and complex customer accounts
  • Plan and coordinate FTL, LTL, Intermodal, and cross-border shipments, including multi-leg movements
  • Proactively manage exceptions, delays, and service recovery
  • Coordinate closely with carriers, rail providers, and terminals
  • Ensure accurate freight documentation and shipment records

Operational Excellence & Cost Control

  • Perform route planning and optimization using TMS or dispatch tools
  • Manage rate structures, accessorial charges, and cost calculations
  • Handle complex accessorial, routing issues, and lane optimization
  • Support incident, claims, and service failure reporting
  • Ensure compliance with transportation regulations for HAZ or special cargo
  • Reduce manual rework through SOP adherence and process improvements

Continuous Improvement & Stakeholder Management

  • Support SOP creation and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Conduct QBRs, scorecards, and carrier performance reviews
  • Ensure customer and vendor invoicing accuracy and timeliness
  • Maintain effective communication with customers, vendors, and internal teams

Scope of Role

  • High-volume lanes with elevated operational complexity
  • Multi-leg intermodal and cross-border movements
  • Customers with tight SLAs and high service expectations

Skills Required

Technical Skills

  • TMS-based route planning and shipment coordination
  • Freight documentation and operational record-keeping
  • Knowledge of equipment types and accessorial structures
  • Exception management, claims handling, and regulatory compliance
  • Data entry and reporting using MS Suite (excel and power point – intermediate).
  • Nice to have – Knowledge about retailers and warehouse appointment booking platforms (COSTCO / WALMART appointment booking) Transporean etc

Pay Range -

$68,000 to $75,000
