Job Description

Do you want to shape the future cost competitiveness of Maersk's Ocean business, drive business impact by turning strategic initiatives into measurable financial results and influence decisions that create lasting business impact.

We Offer

At Maersk, our vision is to be the Global Integrator of container logistics, connecting and simplifying our customers' supply chains. A key enabler of this ambition is maintaining a cost-efficient, reliable and resilient Ocean network and best-in-class Operations.

This is a unique opportunity to combine strategic thinking with hands-on execution and influence key business decisions that shape the future performance of Maersk's Ocean business.

You will be part of the Ocean Cost & Trades Finance team, a diverse and highly engaged finance organisation playing a central role in driving Ocean's cost transformation and performance agenda.

As Ocean Cost Program Lead, you will drive the identification, prioritisation, and delivery of sustainable cost optimisation opportunities across the Ocean business. Working closely with Ocean leadership and cross-functional stakeholders, you will increase performance transparency, unlock value, accelerate execution of the cost strategy, and translate initiatives into measurable financial impact. In doing so, you will help shape key decisions that enhance both short-term performance and long-term competitiveness.

You will thrive in an international and collaborative environment, working alongside talented colleagues from multiple functions, geographies and backgrounds while contributing directly to one of the most important strategic priorities within the Ocean business.

Key Responsibilities

Business Partnering & Strategic Support: Partner with Ocean and Operations leadership team and workstream leads to identify, prioritise, and consolidate cost optimisation initiatives into a cohesive program that delivers sustainable business value and supports the Ocean cost strategy.

Performance Management & Transformation: Own end-to-end programme governance, performance tracking, and financial impact reporting. Drive transparency on delivery progress, risks, dependencies, and value realisation while removing barriers and accelerating execution across workstreams.

Stakeholder Management & Communication: Act as the central driver of the Ocean Cost Programme, ensuring alignment, accountability, and execution across a complex stakeholder landscape. Lead the preparation of executive-level materials and provide regular updates, recommendations, and decision points to the program SteerCo and senior leadership.

Collaboration and Continuous Improvement: Build strong partnerships across the Ocean business and Finance community, fostering simplification, accountability, and continuous improvement to accelerate delivery and maximise program impact.

Leadership and transformation: Be an active member of the Ocean Cost & Trades Finance leadership team, driving engagement, providing sparring and support to colleagues, and fostering a high-performing, inclusive environment where diverse perspectives are valued and individuals are empowered to contribute and grow.

A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, or Business Administration, combined with 5+ years of experience in Finance Business Partnering and project management. Proven ability to drive large-scale cost, performance, or transformation initiatives, coordinate multiple workstreams, and influence senior stakeholders to deliver measurable business value. Experience in Shipping or Logistics is an advantage.

Key competencies are:
