"Maersk Filipinas Crewing Inc. (Marine People Philippines) is looking for competent Second Cook with relevant seagoing experience, willing to be trained, challenged and expand their knowledge onboard our technically advanced container vessels with the best and latest machinery.
A key position in the galley department onboard one of the world’s largest Container shipping company where seafarers are onboarded and equipped to perform and contribute to deliver the vessel commitments. Seafarers are trained and guided in achieving their personal development and career advancement. We ensure to prioritize health and safety, promote diversity and inclusion and at all times carry out the upright practice both at sea and ashore.
Recruitment Criteria:
- Minimum of 12 months experience as Second Cook/Messman on foreign going ships of relevant size/type
- Working knowledge of spoken English
- Experienced with International cuisine specifically European Foods
- Handling of provisions, purchasing, accounting, and administration
- Knowledge of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
- Knowledge of Emergency Procedures (Fire-Abandon ship-Man overboard-Oil Spill)
- Awareness of Safety meetings, reporting near miss, incidents, accidents
- Certificates compliant to STCW 2010 Manila amendments requirements
