High-Level Purpose of the Job Position:
The SCD Senior Analyst is part of Maersk’s Global Supply Chain Development function within Maersk Commercial Sales. The role contributes to logistics solution sales for Maersk customers, based on identifying and quantifying opportunities and tailoring value propositions for Maersk’s priority customers.
Job Description:
The SCD Senior Analyst will be directly working with SCD Regional Managers on specific customer opportunities, along with account managers to identify, quantify and pitch compelling value propositions to new and existing customers. The SCD Analysts will also be following the lead of the SCD Regional Manager to drive high impact customer engagement, and in depth understanding of logistics industry and Maersk services. The role will also contribute to the continued improvement and innovation in the SCD team and the larger commercial organization and thereby be recognized globally for in depth knowledge and problem solving on supply chain topics including proficient execution of analysis.
You will be responsible to:
o Support Regional SCD team on identifying growth opportunities with customers & selling compelling Maersk logistics solutions while working with Maersk multi-functional sales pursuit team.
o Execute analysis on analytical tools such as Power BI, Excel & similar tools
o Prepare value propositions – PowerPoint, Miro & similar platform
o Prepare reports of findings and illustrations (graphically)
o Translating complex findings from customer’s supply chain into communicative insights
o Take complete ownership and deliver with highest quality
o Expectation management with key stakeholders by proactive communication
o Possess and continue learning of supply chain industry and Maersk’s offerings
o Drive and contribute to innovation, standardization and capability-building areas in the SCD team
We are looking for:
· Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business Administration, Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, Science or any other similar discipline
· Work experience of 5+ years in Logistics & Supply Chain. Relevant customer facing experience of 4+ years in supply chain consulting is mandatory.
· Fluent in English - oral and written
· Experience working with supply chain analysis software like Coupa/Llamasoft Supply Chain Guru, Siemens Supply Chain Suite, etc.
· Strong quantitative, research, and data analytics skills contributing towards problem solving
· Strong communication and presentation skills
· Working knowledge of MS Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Visio, Publisher)
· Knowledge of R/Python/Tableau is preferred
· Persuasive personality and ability to connect with stakeholders
· Ability to work independently and as part of a team
· Detail-orientated and enjoy being an expert on logistics sector
