
Regional Bid Implementation Manager MPL IMEA
Job Description
Lead MPL Solution Design for customer pursuits that require advanced engineering knowhow. Designs solutions for new markets (geographies / customers) jointly with business development & operations / operations excellence teams. Supports standardization & proof of concept building for automation initiatives, using methodology provided from global and REGional teams for solutioning jointly, with continious improvement mindset.
•Own Solution design to personally take the lead to:>Capture core data and assumptions that are required to design, cost and price the solution for the customer. This includes the process for capturing all customer insights that might be relevant for this pursuit or future upselling opportunities>Develop detailed designs/ process flows for the solution incorporating the scope of services, operating model, resource models, operating cost estimates, recommended selling price, estimated value for the client and draft P&L for Maersk>Providing engineering solution and visualization for proposed solutions as part of technical response in RFQ•Guide Solution design teams in Area on new business opportunities; i.e., RFP response, strategic cross country project focus, CAPEX, presentations materials, technical documentation and support, support development of automation proof of concepts•Analyze in detail the request for proposal (RFP) and define the bid strategy taking into account the commercial strategy defined together with the Global head of Growth and center bid manager•Set RFQ response schedule and engage response stakeholders timely to ensure bid completed on time.•Gather market & target prices•Participate to the contract negotiations•Attend Customer negotiation meetings as required.•Prepare the documentation necessary to submit to Customer•Develop a clear project implementation charter with operational readiness KPIs for approval with a clear understanding of the customer and product needs for each project, based on input from Solutions Design, Operations, Procurement and Growth Enablement stakeholders. •Drive the regional preparation and setup supporting the project to include resource management/recruitment, procurement framework, platform readiness & stress, hyper care preparation and process testing prior to Go-Live.•Convene and formalize project implementation team, and work closely with key MPL leaders, executive sponsors / account owners and other corporate functions to reach implementation goals on schedule and in full. Convene and manage project implementation steering committee(s) as applicable. •Develop and maintain project implementation plans to include all platform, operations, procurement, QHSE and financial, operational, and customer requirements. •Adopts and/or adjusts Maersk Project Implementation methodology, toolkits and templates to implement projects to provide clear project visibility for Global Metrics reporting and performance measurement.

•Successful solution design within geo-scope •Building solution design capability within geo-scope•Innovation & standardization within geo-scope•Co-developing new customer solutions along with solution engineers from other L&S products •Keep records of all documentation produced for tender preparation (RFP, Q&A, Presentations, letters, contract …) and traceability until contract signature•Provide documents in time in compliance with the tender and global requirements•Sharing best practice•Global MPL implementation methodology•Global MPL implementation tools and reporting standards•Project Delivery on-time and in-full of successful Go Live, no critical negative impact to the business or other MPL operations
Critical competencies
•10+ years’ experience in the design of MPL solutions•Highly experienced in designing solutions for core MPL verticals•Exposure of working in MPL or logistics operations including implementation•Innovative in reaching conclusions and making recommendations based on limited and/or ambiguous data•Extensive technical and product knowledge including experience in project solution design, priding and value proposition design•Experience in customer facing engagements and presentations•Strong ability to facilitate cross-functional decision-making across regions, product(s), and internal stakeholders•Strong communication skills
