Job Description:

The Level 2 Logistics Coordinator within Maersk Contract Logistics plays a key role in managing and optimizing logistics processes for client contracts. The role requires a strong understanding of logistics operations, customer requirements, and the ability to manage the day-to-day activities associated with supply chain management. This position act as an intermediary by collaborating with operations team, facility team with the customer, ensuring effective service delivery and resolution of operational challenges.

Key Responsibilities:

Operational Coordination:

  • Assist in managing daily logistics operations, including transportation, warehousing, and inventory management.
  • Ensure the effective execution of logistics activities according to contract terms, customer needs, and Maersk standards.
  • Monitor and support order processing, shipment tracking, and product deliveries.

Process Improvement:

  • Identify opportunities for process improvement and cost efficiency within logistics operations.
  • Assist with implementing changes to improve service quality, reduce operational costs, and enhance customer satisfaction.

Client Relationship Management:

  • Maintain regular communication with clients to ensure that their requirements are understood and met.
  • Provide updates on logistics activities, addressing any concerns, and acting as a point of contact for client inquiries.
  • Collaborating with clients to understand their requirement by providing insights on the current process that we work on to offshore new business.

Data Management & Reporting:

  • Prepare and analyse reports related to logistics performance, such as inventory levels, shipping costs, and delivery times.
  • Support data-driven decision-making by providing accurate and timely logistics information.
  • Ensure all logistics-related documentation is accurate and properly archived.

Problem Resolution:

  • Act as a point contact on escalation for operational issues and provide timely resolutions.
  • Address delays, discrepancies, or disruptions in supply chain activities, including working with other departments or vendors to resolve issues.
  • Perform RCA to analyse the problem and prevent them from happening in future.

Team Collaboration:

  • Work closely with other logistics team members to ensure smooth operations.
  • Support the onboarding and training of new team members in logistics procedures and systems.
  • Collaborate with internal departments such as procurement, customer service, and warehouse management to ensure seamless logistics operations.

Compliance & Safety:

  • Ensure compliance with Maersk policies, industry regulations, and customer contractual requirements.
  • Monitor safety standards in logistics operations to minimize risks.

Skills:

  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in logistics software and MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Analytical Skills: Ability to analyse data, generate reports, and interpret logistics metrics.
  • Communication: Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Problem-Solving: Able to identify issues and develop solutions quickly, with attention to detail.
  • Teamwork: Demonstrated ability to work well within cross-functional teams.
  • Customer Focus: A proactive approach to customer satisfaction and service delivery.
  • Knowledge of Regulations: Familiarity with logistics-related regulations, industry standards, and best practices.
