Join Maersk as an Operations Excellence Partner – Automation

We're looking for someone who is passionate about transforming the way logistics operates through Operational Excellence, Lean thinking, Automation, and AI.

This role is about helping our people solve problems the right way before applying technology. You'll work closely with leaders and frontline teams to identify waste, understand root causes, challenge existing ways of working, and build a culture of continuous improvement.

Using methodologies such as Lean, Six Sigma, Kaizen, and structured problem solving, you'll drive sustainable operational improvements and help embed Maersk's Lean Operating System across Australia and New Zealand. Once opportunities have been identified and processes optimized, you'll leverage automation, data, digital tools, and AI to scale solutions, improve visibility, eliminate manual effort, and deliver measurable business value.

Success in this role requires someone who can bridge the gap between operations and technology—combining strong logistics and supply chain expertise with the ability to turn improvement opportunities into practical, scalable digital solutions.

What You'll Be Doing

🔹 Drive the deployment and maturity of Maersk's Lean Operating System across Australia and New Zealand

🔹 Facilitate process improvement initiatives using Lean, Six Sigma, Kaizen, and structured problem-solving methodologies

🔹 Build continuous improvement capability through coaching, training, and knowledge sharing

🔹 Support the adoption of new ways of working to ensure sustainable business outcomes and long-term value realization

🔹 Lead automation, AI, and digital transformation initiatives across logistics and supply chain operations

🔹 Partner with business leaders to identify opportunities, solve complex operational challenges, and deliver measurable outcomes

🔹 Design, build, and implement solutions using technologies such as Microsoft Power Platform, Python, SQL, APIs, Azure, and AI tools

Who We're Looking For

We're seeking someone who combines:

✅ Strong logistics, supply chain, transportation, freight forwarding, or 3PL industry experience

✅ Hands-on experience delivering automation, digital transformation, or data-driven improvement initiatives

✅ Strong knowledge of Lean, Continuous Improvement, and Operational Excellence methodologies

✅ The ability to translate operational challenges into practical technology-enabled solutions

✅ Strong stakeholder management, influencing, and change leadership skills

✅ A passion for driving transformation and creating tangible business impact
