Purpose

The Operation Planner is responsible for coordinating and optimizing the static planning of vessel operations and cargo flow within the terminal. The role ensures accurate cargo control, effective communication with stakeholders, and the smooth execution of operational plans. By driving efficiency and supporting continuous improvement, the Operation Planner contributes to safe, reliable, and high-performing terminal operations.

Key responsibilities

  • Plan and coordinate static vessel operations and cargo handling activities to ensure accuracy, compliance, and efficiency.

  • Monitor cargo movements, inventory levels, and documentation to prevent congestion and maintain smooth cargo flow.

  • Communicate effectively with internal teams (operations, engineering, customer service) to coordinate activities and address operational challenges.

  • Liaise with external stakeholders, including shipping lines, port authorities, and regulatory agencies, to ensure smooth cargo operations.

  • Identify opportunities for process improvements, driving initiatives to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and strengthen operational performance.

  • Support the implementation of continuous improvement practices and adherence to operational standards.

  • Work flexibly, including shifts and weekends, as needed to support terminal operations.

We’re looking for

Lean-minded: We are seeking someone with a problem-solving mindset who thrives in dynamic environments, anticipates challenges, and continuously looks for ways to improve performance and efficiency.

  • Master’s degree in engineering, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.

  • Previous experience in terminal operations, logistics, or the maritime industry preferred.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to make data-driven decisions.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate across teams and with external stakeholders.

  • Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple priorities.

  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy, with a focus on delivering high-quality results.

  • Flexibility to work shifts and weekends as required.
