Job Description
Operations Manager – Project Logistics
On any given day, the Operations Manager will be
- Oversee, lead, direct and manage the fiscal and overall operations at a local level to ensure that growth and profitablity goals and objectives are met
- Plan and implement appropriate resources at local level (staffing, training, equipment, and systms) to ensure contractual compliance and delivery of quality services that meet and exceed the customer’s expectations
- Leading the management of expectations for local Project teams, facilitates communication on business requirements and establishes critical performance metrics
- Provide the MPL local operations team with daily guidance, leadership and overall support on any issues relating to operations, communication, revenue enhancement, human resources, procedures standardization, systems applications, and process execution.
- Work collaborateively with Senior Project Managers to ensure efficient operations according to customer requirements
- Develop continuous improvement methodology in key areas of service profit and growth aligned with Operations team
- Develop customer relationships and ensure that customer service and operational levels within the local operations are maintained
- Oversee and manage the professional development and productivity of direct reports to ensure proper goals, training, professional development and project requirements are met
- Partner with commercial,growth enablement, QHSE and procurement to add in the strategic development of the customer.
- Support and attend on site operations
- Support internal/external stakeholders for solution design and operational solutions / pricing
Job development plan/focus area
- Lead / handle Industrial Projects & Breakbulk Operation for Greater China
- Support National and Regional Growth Manager on opportunities
- Work closely with Greater China sales on industrial project opportunities
- Identify key industrial project logistics growth opportunities and jointly with National & Regional Growth and Maersk sales create a strategy for business development
- Support on / handle Industrial key projects for Greater China
- Lead / support on key implementation projects for MPL projects
- assigned to Key MPL Accounts (quotation / operation)
