Maersk Logistics & Services Canada, Inc handles end-to-end warehousing and distribution logistics needs utilizing our strategic network of storage facilities. Our facilities are capable of receiving, storing, processing and dispatching cargo, so we can build flexibility and resilience into the supply chain process. Core Competencies
• Oversee and direct the facility operations to achieve the highest level of productivity, customer service with a focus constantly on cost and efficient use of labor
• Constant focus on the cost of operational labor and understand and uphold financial responsibility for the daily production and labor (P&L),
• Train direct reports on understanding the company information, goals, and objectives within the Operations team
• Manages up to 5 -10 subordinate supervisors who supervise 50+ employees in Special Projects, Shipping, Receiving, Packing, Order Processing, Routing, Inventory and Auditing departments. Is responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation
• Ensure work procedures and work schedules are being adhered to and that corrective action is being taken within the facility operations
• Effectively communicate with other departments and managers to ensure the efficiency of the facility as a whole
• Track productivity for all the customers
• Ensure all the customers’ SLAs are met
• Customer claim processing, reporting, and procedure compliance facilitation.
• Ensure FC damages are within SLA
• Focus on continuous improvement to reduce cost and improve the bottom line
• Maintain inventory integrity and perform all necessary inventory adjustments & corrections.
• Also act as facility support – ordering packaging material, supplies and other items required to run day to day operations
• Oversee warehouse audits to identify process issues that affect inventory accuracy.
• Monitor overages and shortages as relates to the customer.
• Monitor damages and procedure compliance as relates to the customer.
• Maintain and monitor relationship with custom’s procedures including freight clearance documentation and customer compliance. Liaison with other Damco entities as needed
• Demonstrate adaptability and solution engineering for market fluctuations and other supply chain disruption
• Represent the account(s) during business implementation and execution, including onboarding of new Maersk product portfolio; collaborating with internal project owners accordingly
• Accountable to do resource planning on daily basis
• Monitor productivity and profitability
• Responsible to cross train management staff as well as warehouse associates
• Foster team environment within the facility and demonstrate strong leadership skills
• Adhere to all Health and safety polices within the facility and lead, foster a safe and compliant environment according to legislation
• Manage, evaluate, and mentor Assistant Managers and Supervisors
• Supports the commitment to the Company's Core Values
• Coordinate with Managers and Human Resources to ensure adherence to Company policies and procedures
• Establishes production and quality control standards, develops budget and cost controls, and obtains data regarding types, quantities, specifications, and delivery dates of products ordered.
• Oversee maintenance problems to ensure minimum costs and prevent operational delays ensure all established costs, quality, and delivery commitments are met
• Performs administrative activities associated with the effective management of shop operations, including compiling, storing, and retrieving production data for reports.
• Ensures all assigned employees are aware of and comply with company, government, and customer policies, procedures, and regulations.
• Interviewing, hiring, appraising performance; rewarding and disciplines employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
• Extensive knowledge of Microsoft Windows applications (i.e. Word, Excel, Outlook, and power-point
• Must be able to learn detailed functionalities of all the warehouse management system in the warehouse.
• Accountable to order any infrastructure /IT related items
• Work as a backup supervisor in exception cases such as peak
• Responsible for identifying and reducing warehouse operating cost
• Perform other job-related duties as required

Qualifications
• College degree preferred but not required
• 5+ years of Management Leadership experience
• Strong candidates are assertive, adaptable, and resilient
• Must be a self-starter, multi-tasker, and excellent problem-solving abilities
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Team player attitude, understands the importance of maintaining a high communicative environment, offers an inclusive approach with constant care, constant training and communication while fostering a team environment
• Proficient with systems (i.e.: Microsoft products; warehouse and management systems)
• Must be able to lift up to 50lbs
• Role is for the afternoon shift. Flexibility to work nights, holidays, and weekends( Sunday shift on rotational basis)

Pay Range:

$90,000-$110,000

*The above stated pay range is the anticipated starting salary range for the position. The Company may adjust this range in light of prevailing market conditions and other factors such as location. The Company will work directly with the selected candidate(s) on the final starting salary in accordance with all applicable laws.
