The North American team is looking for a highly motivated individual to join our Ocean Care team in Panama City, Panama. The team is responsible for ensuring the highest standards of customer satisfaction, operational excellence, terminal collaboration, and day-to-day cargo operations.
The Ocean Care Lead is responsible for on-time delivery of customers’ goods through optimal planning and execution. The role bridges commercial pursuits with operational efficiency, thereby achieving first-rate customer experience, process excellence and optimal cost.

The role will enable you to build a customer focus mindset and improve on critical skills such as execution/delivery management, process improvement, stakeholder management and communication, vendor management. In addition, you will be gaining insight into company processes from Ocean & logistic perspective.
Key Responsibilities
Responsible to ensure correct, accurate and smooth cargo operation
Establish and implement Key Performance Indicator’s (KPI), Service Level Agreement’s (SLA) and
standard execution framework for the terminals and agencies
Monitor, review and follow-up port performance improvement to drive terminal productivity, utilize port stays, lower variable unit cost and secure high quality of vessel stowage
Build, maintain and develop excellent relationship with various stakeholders both internally and externally
Responsible for crisis management including handle cargo emergencies in coordination with other functions and stakeholders
Contact point with authorities in incident scenarios as required or applicable
Contact point with CX in other regions for exceptional handlings and Value-Added Services
Plan and execute operational contingencies with an eye for customer impact, safe and efficient of vessel operations, as well as cost to the network.
Own Deadline management complementary to the vessel schedule to support customer’s shipping pipeline while minimizing cost exposure to the company
Participate and coordinate new terminal set-ups
Be part of the larger Service Fulfillment management team and connect the daily operations with upstream improvements
Improve healthy work-life balance and keep a good working environment of the team for a high engagement level
Identify and suggest continuous improvement initiatives.
Act on other tasks assigned by head of Ocean Care.
We are looking for
The ideal candidate should possess a relevant degree from a reputable education facility and/or minimum of 3 years’ experience in the industry.
Excellent written, oral, and formal communication skills in both Spanish and English
Comes with a customer centric mindset, should be a diligent, self-disciplined, and upright individual, accepting personal ownership and drive results.
Data driven and able to work autonomously and take calculated and independent decisions under high-pressure scenarios.
Have a continuous improvement mindset.
Candidate should have good time management skills and ability to priorities and work effectively under tight deadlines with flexible attitude to working hours.
You should be an excellent communicator who is able to interact with and convey ideas to cross-cultural teams and multiple stakeholders.
Someone who is Enthusiastic, energetic and an effective team player.
