
Night-Shift Multicarrier Dispatch Specialist

About the Role
We are looking for a Multicarrier Dispatch Specialist to support our Landside Operations team by coordinating container movements, assigning loads to drivers, scheduling port appointments, and ensuring the smooth execution of drayage operations.
This role serves as a critical link between drivers, customers, terminals, and internal teams, helping ensure containers move efficiently, appointments are secured on time, and operational issues are resolved quickly.
The ideal candidate is highly organized, process-oriented, customer-focused, and comfortable making decisions in a fast-paced logistics environment.
Key Responsibilities
Assign loads to drivers in Trinium, ensuring accurate allocation based on driver availability, equipment capacity, and operational requirements.
Support drivers with day-to-day operational challenges and provide real-time guidance as needed.
Generate daily Dispatch Reports, consolidating drayage planning activities using data from Trinium, customer reports, terminal appointments, and driver schedules.
Schedule pickup and drop-off appointments through terminal websites and customer facilities.
Monitor and track import and export container movements to ensure timely execution.
Investigate completed and pending loads to maintain operational visibility and planning accuracy.
Evaluate driver availability and assign loads based on qualifications, equipment, and operational needs.
Communicate proactively with customers regarding drayage issues, appointment requirements, and service updates.
Review and approve accessorial charges and coordinate with Settlement and Transportation teams to ensure proper billing and payment processes.
Evaluate repair requests and determine when external repair providers are required.
Ensure accurate and timely updates in operational systems and mobile applications.
Support continuous improvement initiatives focused on operational efficiency, service quality, and customer experience.
Requirements
3+ years of experience in shipping, logistics, transportation, dispatch, landside operations, freight coordination, or related fields.
Experience coordinating transportation movements, container operations, dispatch activities, or carrier management.
Advanced English communication skills (written and verbal).
Strong problem-solving and decision-making capabilities.
Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively in a fast-paced operational environment.
Strong customer service and stakeholder management skills.
High attention to detail and process discipline.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel.
Experience with reporting, operational tracking, or documentation management is preferred.
Experience with intermodal, drayage, trucking, container logistics, or port operations is highly desirable.

Night Shift Schedule
This role is part of our dedicated night-shift operation.
The team operates across three night-shift schedules:
7:00 PM – 2:30 AM
8:30 PM – 3:30 AM
10:00 PM – 5:30 AM
Schedules are assigned based on operational needs, training performance, and business requirements. Team members demonstrating strong operational performance and independence may be assigned to later shift coverage.
The operation is structured into three pods, with each pod consisting of two team members.
Work Arrangement
Team members may be required to attend the office approximately 1–2 times per month for team meetings, training sessions, or business activities.
The organization will transition to a 100% office presence in January 2027.
