The MCL Operations Manager is responsible for leading, stabilizing, and optimizing warehousing and distribution operations across multiple countries and sites within the region. The role drives operational excellence, cost efficiency, safety, and compliance while fostering a high-performance culture and delivering consistent service to customers. This position requires strong leadership, hands-on operational expertise, and the ability to manage complexity across diverse markets.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Regional Operations Leadership

  • Lead end-to-end warehouse operations across multiple sites, including receiving, put-away, picking, packing, shipping, and dispatch.

  • Standardize operating procedures and optimize warehouse layouts and material flows to improve productivity and reduce handling time.

  • Ensure operational continuity and service reliability across all countries.

People & Performance Management

  • Recruit, develop, and lead warehouse and logistics teams (managers, supervisors, team leads, operators, and drivers).

  • Build a strong performance culture focused on accountability, engagement, and continuous development.

  • Drive clear performance expectations and succession planning across sites.

Inventory, Systems & Data Management

  • Implement and maintain strong inventory control processes (FIFO/FEFO, cycle counts, audits).

  • Leverage WMS and operational data to ensure inventory accuracy, visibility, and planning.

  • Drive system adoption and process discipline across all warehouses.

Continuous Improvement & KPIs

  • Define, track, and improve key operational KPIs (order accuracy, productivity, cost per unit).

  • Identify operational bottlenecks and lead continuous improvement initiatives using Lean principles.

  • Promote best-practice sharing across countries.

Financial & Cost Management

  • MCL budget planning and forecasting for warehouse and distribution operations.

  • Monitor operational costs, identify savings opportunities, and improve EBIT performance.

  • Ensure cost discipline while supporting business growth and volume fluctuations.

Safety, Security & Compliance

  • Ensure full compliance with company HSSE standards and local regulatory requirements.

  • Drive a proactive safety culture and ensure implementation of corrective and preventive actions.

  • Oversee site audits, risk assessments, and certification requirements.

Logistics & Distribution

  • Manage regional transportation and distribution operations, including carrier and vendor performance.

  • Optimize inbound and outbound flows to support customer service and cost efficiency.

  • Support contingency planning during peak seasons and disruptions.

Cross-Functional & Customer Collaboration

  • Partner closely with Supply Chain, Procurement, Finance, Sales, and Customer Service teams.

  • Act as the operational focal point for key customers and regional stakeholders.

  • Support new business onboarding and warehouse launches.

Technology & Transformation

  • Lead the implementation and continuous improvement of WMS and digital tools.

  • Support automation and process digitization initiatives to enhance scalability and data-driven decision-making.

WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR

Someone with:

  • Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, Logistics, Operations Management, or a related field (Master’s preferred).

  • 5–7+ years of experience in warehousing and distribution, with proven regional or multi-site leadership experience.

  • Strong knowledge of WMS platforms and warehouse best practices.

  • Demonstrated experience driving operational improvements and cost optimization.

  • Lean / Six Sigma certification is an advantage.

  • Strong financial, analytical, and stakeholder management skills.

  • Fluent in French and English (mandatory)
