Employment type:  Full time

Job Description

Navigate Talent, Drive Performance at Sea - are you our new Marine Talent & Performance Manager?

Do you have an eye for nurturing talent and a passion for lifting performance in a highly operational environment? Can you see yourself driving performance, culture, and development for Maersk’s 12,000+ seafarers?

If so, you might be the colleague we’re looking for in Marine People Strategy, part of the wider Maersk Fleet Marine People & Culture team.

About the Role:

Sailing container vessels with food, goods, and medicine across the world is more than a job- it’s a lifestyle. Our 12,000+ seafarers live and work at sea for weeks or months at a time, sharing their journey with colleagues onboard through all conditions. Supporting their growth, wellbeing, and performance is critical to our success.

As our new Marine Talent & Performance Manager, you will lead the design and delivery of key initiatives that enhance the seafarer experience and culture, strengthen leadership pipelines, and drive retention. From talent screening to performance appraisals, you’ll help ensure we have the right people, in the right roles, with the right support to thrive at sea.

Key Responsibilities:

We’re seeking a proactive, people-focused professional who thrives in a collaborative, fast-paced environment. You enjoy building the ship while we sail it and embrace change as an opportunity to improve what we do. Whether your background is in HR, project management, or maritime operations, you bring curiosity, structure, and a passion for making a difference. You’ll thrive in this newly established role if you have:

  • Talent Development Experience - A strong understanding of talent management, ideally in a frontline or operational setting.

  • Project & Change Management Skills - Proven ability to lead complex initiatives and drive adoption across diverse stakeholder groups.

  • Strategic & Analytical Thinking - A data-informed mindset with the ability to identify trends, measure impact, and connect initiatives to broader business goals.

  • Strong Communication - Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with fluency in English and the ability to engage global teams.

  • Collaborative Leadership - A team player who can influence and inspire across functions and cultures.

  • Resilience & Drive - A self-starter who embraces challenges and continuously seeks improvement.

  • Experience: We expect you to bring 4-5 years of experience in a corporate environment. Maritime industry experience is a plus but not a requirement.
