About the role
Maersk Contract Logistics is looking for a Manager, Business Development to drive growth and expand market presence across key industries. This role plays a critical part in identifying new business opportunities, developing strategic partnerships, and delivering tailored logistics solutions that meet evolving customer needs.
Key responsibilities
Develop and execute strategic plans to grow Contract Logistics business and expand market share
Identify, target, and convert new business opportunities across key sectors
Build and maintain strong, long-term customer relationships and act as a trusted advisor
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and deliver customised logistics solutions
Prepare compelling proposals, lead negotiations, and close commercial agreements
Achieve sales targets, pipeline growth, and revenue objectives
Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and customer needs to inform strategy
Provide regular sales forecasts and pipeline updates to leadership
Represent Maersk at client engagements, networking events, and industry forums
Drive continuous improvement in sales processes and solution offerings using Lean principles

Knowledge and skills requirements
Minimum diploma in a relevant field of study (e.g. Logistics, Supply Chain, Engineering, Business or equivalent)
At least 3 years of experience in logistics, supply chain, or 3PL environments
Strong sales, negotiation, and commercial acumen with a proven ability to close deals
Good understanding of integrated logistics and supply chain solutions
Strong stakeholder management and relationship-building skills
Strategic thinking with a growth and solution-oriented mindset
Excellent communication and presentation skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools
