Job Description

Manager-Business Development is responsible for developing and executing strategic plans to drive the growth of the Contract Logistics business by identifying and pursuing new sales opportunities across targeted markets. It involves building and maintaining strong, long-term relationships with key customers while collaborating with cross-functional teams to design and deliver integrated logistics solutions that meet client needs.

The incumbent will be accountable for preparing compelling proposals, leading commercial negotiations, and securing profitable agreements, while consistently achieving defined sales targets and business objectives.

In addition, the role requires monitoring market trends and competitor activity to inform strategic decision-making, representing Maersk at industry events to strengthen brand presence, and providing accurate sales forecasts alongside regular pipeline updates.

A strong focus on continuous improvement is essential, with the application of LEAN principles to enhance processes and drive operational excellence.

The ideal candidate brings experience in logistics, freight forwarding, or 3PL contract logistics, with strong commercial acumen, negotiation skills, and a deep understanding of supply chain solutions. They demonstrate excellent stakeholder management, possess a strategic and growth-oriented mindset, communicate effectively at all levels, and are committed to a LEAN, continuous improvement culture.
