About the role
Maersk Contract Logistics is looking for a Manager, Business Development to drive growth and expand market presence across key industries. This role plays a critical part in identifying new business opportunities, developing strategic partnerships, and delivering tailored logistics solutions that meet evolving customer needs.

Key responsibilities

  • Develop and execute strategic plans to grow Contract Logistics business and expand market share

  • Identify, target, and convert new business opportunities across key sectors

  • Build and maintain strong, long-term customer relationships and act as a trusted advisor

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and deliver customised logistics solutions

  • Prepare compelling proposals, lead negotiations, and close commercial agreements

  • Achieve sales targets, pipeline growth, and revenue objectives

  • Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and customer needs to inform strategy

  • Provide regular sales forecasts and pipeline updates to leadership

  • Represent Maersk at client engagements, networking events, and industry forums

  • Drive continuous improvement in sales processes and solution offerings using Lean principles

Who we’re looking for
The ideal candidate is commercially driven, customer-focused, and thrives in a growth-oriented environment. They bring strong business acumen, a collaborative mindset, and the ability to influence stakeholders while delivering results.

Knowledge and skills requirements

  • Minimum diploma in a relevant field of study (e.g. Logistics, Supply Chain, Engineering, Business or equivalent)

  • At least 3 years of experience in logistics, supply chain, or 3PL environments

  • Strong sales, negotiation, and commercial acumen with a proven ability to close deals

  • Good understanding of integrated logistics and supply chain solutions

  • Strong stakeholder management and relationship-building skills

  • Strategic thinking with a growth and solution-oriented mindset

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools

  • Lean-minded: we are looking for someone who brings a strong mindset of continuous improvement – someone who is naturally curious, committed to solving problems at the root, and driven to make things better every day.
