Job Description

Inventory Administrator – Tamworth

Opportunity

Are you an experienced Inventory Administrator looking to join a fast-paced warehouse operation with a global logistics business?

At Maersk, we’re on a journey to simplify global trade and deliver truly integrated, end-to-end supply chain solutions for our customers.

We’re looking for an organised and detail-focused Inventory Administrator to join our team in Tamworth. You’ll play an important role in supporting the accuracy and control of inventory across the warehouse, maintaining accurate records and working closely with operational teams to ensure stock information is correct and up to date.

This role would suit someone with previous inventory administration or stock control experience within a warehouse or logistics environment who is confident working with data, systems and multiple operational priorities.

What We Offer

You’ll join an international and diverse business where you can take ownership of your role while continuing to develop your knowledge and experience.

You’ll be part of a collaborative team focused on delivering for our customers, with access to career development opportunities and competitive benefits.

Key Responsibilities

As an Inventory Administrator, you will:

  • Support the day-to-day administration and control of inventory across the warehouse.
  • Maintain accurate inventory and stock records within warehouse systems.
  • Investigate and help resolve stock discrepancies, escalating issues where appropriate.
  • Support stock checks and inventory-related activities.
  • Ensure inventory transactions and adjustments are recorded accurately and efficiently.
  • Verify inbound and outbound documentation and ensure information is accurately captured.
  • Monitor and track incoming stock and containers.
  • Work closely with Warehouse Operations, Customer Service and Yard Operations to resolve inventory queries.
  • Complete accurate data entry and maintain inventory reports and documentation.
  • Use Excel and the Warehouse Management System (WMS) to support inventory control and reporting.

We’re looking for someone who has:

  • Previous inventory administration, inventory control or stock control experience within a warehouse or logistics environment.
  • Experience working with a Warehouse Management System (WMS) or similar inventory system.
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, with confidence handling and maintaining inventory data.
  • Strong attention to detail and a high level of accuracy.
  • Good organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks in a busy operational environment.
  • The confidence to investigate discrepancies and work with colleagues to resolve inventory issues.
  • Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively across different operational teams.
  • A proactive approach and the ability to take ownership of responsibilities.

Ready to Apply?

If you have experience in inventory administration or stock control and enjoy working in a busy warehouse environment, we’d love to hear from you.
