Position Overview

As Head of Asset Management in Algeciras, you will lead the maintenance and repair strategy for terminal assets, ensuring optimal performance and reliability. This role requires a hands-on leader with strong technical expertise and a passion for continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage maintenance and repair departments to ensure operational efficiency.
  • Develop and implement asset management strategies aligned with global standards.
  • Drive productivity optimization through process improvements and LEAN principles.
  • Ensure compliance with local Safety, Health, and Environment regulations.
  • Collaborate across departments to align asset management with business objectives.
  • Monitor and analyze technical issues in mechanics, structural, electrical, and control systems.
  • Foster a culture of problem-solving and continuous improvement.
  • Build a solid relation with the AM workers representative, guided and aligned with LLRR and HHRR.
  • Build solid relations with other departments.

Critical Qualifications & Skills

  • University degree in engineering or a relevant field.
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience leading maintenance and repair teams.
  • Strong organizational and planning skills.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical abilities.
  • Leadership skills with the ability to empower and motivate teams.
  • Fluent in English and Spanish.
  • Knowledge of local SHE regulations.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and EPR/CMMS systems.
  • Experience in quality management and customer satisfaction principles.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to communicate across the local organization.
  • Strong interpersonal skills able to build relationships and manage multiple stakeholders' interests toward a common business benefit.
  • Able to exercise discretion and good judgment, with an ability to understand the overall effect of decisions taken, both locally and company-wide.
  • Able to handle confidential company and employee information with complete discretion.
