Are you our new General Manager in Grimstad?
As our General Manager, you will be responsible for leading and overseeing all Maersk Training activities at the Grimstad training centre while acting as the local representative of the Norwegian Managing Director. This role is accountable for driving operational excellence, safety, quality, financial performance, and business growth. The position ensures compliance with regulatory, accreditation, and customer requirements while fostering a high-performing, collaborative, and customer-focused work environment.
Key Responsibilities
Holds overall responsibility for the local organization, including its people, performance, and results.
Establishes and follows up the Norwegian safety training goals and associated action plans.
Carries overall operational responsibility for the local safety training center.
Plans and ensures optimal utilization of resources, capacity, and competence.
Delivers results in line with budget and provides monthly performance reporting to management.
Ensures thorough understanding of, and compliance with, the management system, procedures, handbooks, and IT tools.
Ensures that the quality and delivery of safety training comply with accreditation requirements and internal course satisfaction standards.
Ensures that statutory and customer requirements are consistently met.
Works closely with the Commercial department to follow up sales and marketing activities.
Key Metrics
Acts as an ambassador for MT and its values.
Contributes to a good working environment.
Communicate effectively with customers and colleagues.
Contributes to gathering market intelligence.
Monitors customer satisfaction.
Monitors HSEQ performance.
Represents MT at industry events and conferences.
Contributes strategy and new business opportunities.

Proven leadership experience in operational management.
Strong knowledge of Norwegian offshore and maritime legislation.
Commercially astute with strong business acumen.
Operationally strong with a focus on performance and results.
Excellent interpersonal, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
Strong collaboration and teamwork capabilities.
Demonstrated ability to lead and manage change effectively.
Data-driven decision maker with strong analytical skills.
