About the role

As a FinOps Agent, you'll drive financial control and profitability across our LCL business. You'll be the bridge between Finance, Operations and Commercial teams, making sure our financial results truly reflect how the business performs, and helping leaders make better decisions.

What you'll be doing

Cost control and revenue assurance

• Oversee cost accruals and billing accuracy and timeliness at area and country level.
• Work with operations and stations to address outlier shipments, such as loss-making or profit-making files and incurred storage.
• Minimise revenue leakage, optimise shipment margins and reduce unbilled or uncollected revenue.
• Make sure vendor invoices, carrier contracts and rate agreements are correctly reflected in our financial systems.

Partnering with Operations

• Be the key link between Finance and LCL Operations.
• Support pricing validation, file closure accuracy and financial compliance in workflows.
• Use KPI dashboards to track financial efficiency and operational performance.
• Help standardise finance processes globally, including invoicing, accruals, cost matching and revenue posting.

Financial governance and profitability

• Provide financial oversight of the LCL P&L, with accurate and timely reporting.
• Build and maintain governance standards for cost control, margin analysis and revenue recognition.
• Analyse gross profit, trade lane profitability and yield management.
• Work with operations and procurement leaders to find cost savings and margin improvements.
• Reduce out-of-period and prior-period adjustments through root-cause analysis.
• Drive visibility and accountability through standardised reporting.

Business partnering

• Support country leadership with budgeting, forecasting and business planning.
• Share insights on profitability drivers, trade lane performance and customer contribution.
• Review client profitability and escalate loss-making clients early.
• Spot execution gaps, financial risks and internal control issues, and help drive resolution.

What success looks like

You'll be accountable for accurate and timely LCL financial reporting, healthy operational KPIs (soft and hard close ratios and timeliness), better GP margin and cash flow, fewer billing errors and less revenue leakage, and reconciled, up-to-date WIP and cost accruals. Your key metrics include invoice accuracy and timeliness, overdue and aged open jobs, unbilled orders over 30 days, receivables, loss-making files and GP margin.

Who you'll work with

Financial Operations teams, area and country LCL teams and the Finance team, plus carriers and vendors externally.

What we're looking for

• Degree in Finance, Accounting or a related field.
• Experience in accounting, financial operations or controlling, ideally in logistics or shipping.
• Strong analytical skills and confidence with numbers, Excel and financial systems
• Open, proactive communication, and comfort working in the office with colleagues every day
